What was Sam Tanenhaus, the editor of the <em>New York Times Book Review</em>, thinking when he assigned Maureen Dowd's new book to Kathryn Harrison -- a writer who Dowd had previously slammed not in <a href="http://select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=FA0815FD3C5C0C768DDDAA0894DF494D81&amp;n=Top%2fReference%2fTimes%20Topics%2fPeople%2fS%2fSimpson%2c%20O%2e%20J%2e">one</a>, but <a href="http://select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F00917FD355E0C728CDDA90994DF494D81&amp;n=Top%2fReference%2fTimes%20Topics%2fPeople%2fT%2fThomas%2c%20Clarence">two</a> different columns?<br />
