Fifteen thousand people from low-income communities gathered in LA, Chicago and Birmingham and adopted a National Family Platform.

Thanks to the ethnic news organization New America Media the three-city Convention included Youth Media Lounges where young people interviewed young people (using the cheap, easy-to-use Flip camera) and blogged about their experiences at the Convention.
