	<abstract><![CDATA[<p>Quite a few years back, I had a debate with a friend. I disliked California's Proposition system, he thought it was great. </p>

<p>I am here to proclaim victory in the debate.</p>

<p>The Proposition System in California, while noble in theory, is an ill-thought out disaster. Somewhat like New Coke, the Edsel and Viet Nam. Miserable failure was the only likely outcome.</p>
