<p>It was April of this year - 7 months ago - that while sitting at home in Toronto, I obtained my pair of tickets for election night at the Daily Show. Tickets there are distributed online through an automatic system, similar to how you would reserve a flight or hotel. To say I was ecstatic is an understatement. </p>

<p>I received my initial confirmation email. All good. </p>
