Carry them around during your day.

Ask everyone within ear shot if the have registered to vote.

If not, ask who they would favor?

If Obama, offer to the registration forms.

It's fun, and people react well.

Preaching to the choir ain't gonna cut it. Having recently moved,(from Northern California to Northern georgia, I am astounded at the level of awareness or lack of it in very nice people. Many folks here still believe that the Iraq war is about the bombings on 9/11 and that McCain is good for our soldiers and veterans. So many folks here thinks the war is super-duper. Why? Just because.
My friend who is going over to Afganistan soon,(National guard guy), served in Georgia, Iraq and wants McCain to be next prez. Why? Cause he thinks McCain is for the soldiers. HELP please

I need help....my brother is visiting ...walking wounded viet nam vet.....he is for McCain. He is voting for that man just because he served in Viet Nam. I show him articles by other vets.....'­lies'....a­rticles proving McCain's distain for military..­...'lies'.­.....I have taken him everywhere I go on the internet and on the news and 'it is all lies' Obama is a muslim and was part of Wright's Anti Amercan church. He gets all of his truths from Fox and everything else is lies. I take apart Faux Noise and prove the bias and he says that I am brainwashed and will get what I deserve.

With all my study and work to try to do the right thing....he totally nullifies my vote. Brainless, stupidity. How can we combat it? To him, Palen is a 'purdy little thing, now isn't she'. HOW can we combat this?

Veterans 80% of the time.

At the Democratic convention, Obama had a strong military presence supporting him.

Unfortunately, there are some people that you just can't reach.

It's like trying to convince someone who is a devout __________ (fill in the blank with the religion of your choice) that they should become a _________ (fill in the blank with the religion of your choice). For example, try to convince a Christian they should become a Muslim just because YOU'RE saying Islam is right and Christianity is wrong. Or a Buddhist to become a Jew. Or whatever... just examples of how hopeless it is to try to change someone's core beliefs about something.

That's how entrenched people like your brother are in their political views. At some point, you just have to give up trying to make them see the light. It sucks but that's just the way it is.

Hubby is a retired Colonel, 3 tours in Vietnam, retired, called out of retirement for Gulf war One.....no way will he vote for McCain. Why do Americans value lack of education, and lack of morals and judgment so much?

Not a word has been said about family values this time around. The last 2 Bush elections, family values was such huge issue brought up by Republicans. Now that the Republican candidates have been proven not to have any values - family or otherwise, it's no longer an issue.

Republicans value their pocketbooks, purses, stocks, CD's, and all the property in the world. anything else is simply a waste of their time. What a losing battle, trying to persuade materialists to become idealists!
Family values are all tied up with the bottom line, and Republicans tell those they dupe that they will give them more of their own money and protect them from the government. It's quite true, but you have to be in the top 5% of the population.
