Cartoon: Tripping Over Tancredo

What's Your Reaction:

Colorado's 3rd District, currently held by Democrat John Salazar, is a funny place. Even with a large registration edge favoring the GOP, the region has seen fit to vote Salazar back into office three times now. In 2006, Cortez Republican party apparatchik Scott Tipton attempted to displace the wily yeoman farmer and was rewarded with a big wet kiss from none other than Tom Tancredo, who, at the time, was jockeying for a spectacular fail as a presidential candidate due mainly to his being a bigoted jackass.

Tipton warmly embraced Tancredo at the podium, saying he was humbled by the endorsement.

Fast forward 4 years and here we are again, with Tipton once more tilting for the gold ring, perhaps smelling a bit of blood in the political waters. I wonder how humbled Scott Tipton would be to have Tancredo's backsplappa once more, given the former Congressman's rather rank preformance at last Week's Teabagger Convention.

Here's a taste:

...[Obama was elected because] we do not have a civics, literacy test before people can vote. People who could not even spell the word vote, or say it in English, put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House

Perhaps I missed old Scotty's immediate denunciation of litmus testing for voters.

Perhaps. Kinda doubt it.

Salazar's credibility as a farmer is zero. He failed to co-sign and help get Ron Pauls Industrial Hemp Act signed into law in time for spring planting. He is also an incumbent, and NO incumbent should be re-elected at this time.

As for Tancredos, racism. Presumably it has to do with immigration. If you want truly racist immigration policy, cross the Border going the other way. Wander outside the Tourist town, dont speak the language, and try to find a job.

As for Republicans in general being racist... please explain to me, if tRepublicans were as racist as Many Democrats say.. why are Republicans against abortion??

Tancredo's racism has everything to do with immigration. Not sure what you are trying to imply about Mexico- one bad turn does not justify another.

I'm at sea on your abortion comment...?

Obviously a Gringo immigrating to Mexico would not be welcomed with open arms the way we do here. My only concern with Illegals is that their employer is just as crippled with taxes, workman's comp etc as my employer.

The demographic of Women who get abortions is primarily Black and Hispanic. Black Conservatives are quite vocal about the issue.

Rojellio you make no sense. Seriously. Your posting is like some crazed rambling. No thought given to facts or anything outside of soundbites from Rush.

Soundbites from RUSH. Whatever. Try something more original than that. What fact did I get wrong?
