I've been a fan of the New Orleans Saints since before it was cool to be a fan of the New Orleans Saints. (Think "brown bag" era.) My zest for all things black and gold inspired me to create the female football fan website Chicks in the Huddle. The site has been featured on ABC and NBC affiliates, ESPN the Magazine, and Deadspin and now features writers covering nearly a dozen NFL teams. My mission: prove to women everywhere that football is as exhilarating as a good shoe sale, as comforting as a fab hair day, and complete with all the drama of Grey's Anatomy...with much better actors.

Fact: On Sundays in the fall, many women would much rather spend their Sundays predicting the plot line of a movie with a title like, "If Not For the Love of My Child: A Woman's Pain. A Lifetime Original Movie" than flipping back and forth between NFL Countdown and FOX...

Saints vs. Bucs Recap: Time to Walk the Plank

Last week, I predicted the Saints wouldn't be taken down by the over zealous Bucs and their quest for redemption. Well, it takes a big woman to admit when she's wrong. And I... unfortunately... am not that woman.

Someone more noble might say that we Saints fans should give...

Here we are in June. School's out for summer. My bikini friendly six pack is slowly making a triumphant return. The humidity has turned my hair into an unrecognizable mass of debris. And yet, none of that matters because there may not be a football season in a few months....

With all this uncertainty over whether the NFL owners and players will get their crap together in time for the season, I've found myself about as frustrated as Lebron James' mama waiting on the valet. I mean, how silly would it be of me to start obsessing about the...

The Saints revealed the sad news that they are cutting ties with my greasy-haired hero, tight end Jeremy Shockey. While there's nothing shocking about the Shockey diss, that doesn't make it hurt any less. In his short time with the team, it didn't take much for old Goldilocks to quickly...
