Shaunna Thomas was most recently the Executive Director of the P Street Project, the lobbying arm of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee dedicated to organizing progressive members of Congress and their staff and connecting them to the progressive grassroots. Prior to that, Shaunna was the COO of the Progressive Caucus Policy Foundation, the outside organization supporting the Progressive Caucus Policy Foundation. Shaunna got into organizing and advocacy through the 2004 Presidential election, which inspired her to work with and eventually lead Young People For, a Project of People For the American Way Foundation dedicated to empowering the next generation of progressive leaders.

She is the co-founder of UltraViolet.

Birth control matters to women. This is not an opinion. It is a fact. But you wouldn't know it reading political coverage of the administration's decision to do the right thing and approve the rule mandating coverage of it.
