Normally on SBS TV in Australia, foreign news programs follow one after another. Today, in a rare move, a half hour of music and gobal weather will separate the Serbian and Bosnian new programs.
I was very much against the Clinton Administration's intervention in Kosovo. The history of genocide by the Kosovites against the Serbs and Jews is not well known because of the Cold War. The United States and the Wall Street pirates that supported the Nazi war effort have created a myth of sympathy for these Nazi war criminals. The Serbs have usually been in the right side of European events and have suffered tremendously. Below is a little background that can be found at http://www.pogledi.co.yu/english/cs1.php
Kosovo's Nazi Past: The Untold StoryBy Carl Savich
1. Introduction: Genocide in Kosovo
During World War II and the Holocaust, Kosovar Albanians killed 10,000 Kosovo Serbs and expelled 100,000. Kosovo-Metohija was made a part of a Greater Albania by Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. Hitler and Mussolini realized the Greater Albania ideology established by the 1878 League of Prizren. Albanian-settled areas of the Balkans---Kosovo-Metohija, western Macedonia, southern Montenegro---were incorporated in a Greater Albania. The Greater Albania Kosovar Albanian nationalist movement murdered Kosovo Serb civilians and took over their lands and houses. Kosovo Serb women were raped. Kosovo Serb Orthodox priests were arrested, tortured, and murdered. Serbian Orthodox churches and monasteries were attacked and destroyed. Serbian monuments, cemeteries, and gravestones were desecrated and demolished. The Greater Albania nationalist movement formed the Balli Kombetar, the Albanian Kosovo Committee, and the Skanderbeg Nazi SS Division, two-thirds of whose members were Kosovar Albanian Muslims. Kosovar Albanian Muslims played a major role in the Holocaust, the murder of European Jews. Kosovar Albanian Nazi SS troops participated in the roundup of Kosovo Jews who were later killed at Bergen-Belsen. What occurred in Kosovo during World War II was genocide. The mainstream accounts of World War II have censored and covered up the Kosovar Albanian role in the genocide against Kosovo Serbs and the role of Kosovar Albanians in the Holocaust. The Nazi past of Kosovo remains an untold story.

What is a country? Or, more fundamentally, what is a country for?
How common is it for people to set up a national boundary and use that line as a place to hide behind while they commit aggression against the folks on the other side of it? Or the other favorite of using such a boundary as a place to keep people inside of for the purpose of their own government oppressing them?
Now to the crux of the matter. When is the human race going to mature to the point where we no longer need or want national borders at all? We like to say that we live in a country but we don't. We invariably maintain ourselves in a fairly restrictive area and, as long as we enjoy the full panoply of individual rights within our home space, it should not matter if our central government is one of several hundred, or the only one on the planet.
Would we be benefited if Los Angeles insisted on being a country? The justification, of course, would be that the people there share a place and are far more numerous than a good many other population groups who insist on being called a country instead of maintaining the same grouping and being called by the name of a smaller kind of governmental unit.
What if the Japanese had to share a voice with non Japanese speakers in order to be able to finally get a handle on solving problems whose solutions really need to be implemented everywhere? I mean, they would still be Japanese people living their Japanese lives in their Japanese houses in a place called Japan. In addition to that, though, they would world citizens.
Kosovo, I don"t know! It makes just no sense to me. What do they gain besides the ability to discriminate against not-Kosovo? Let them be Europeans or something. Something to keep the Serbs from banging on them and them from banging back.
An interesting link to prompt some thought about the Balkans, the strategic Balkans:

This is quite old, and a bit right wing, but I think it is the central thrust of what is happening.
And the Croat Ustasa. The Catholics need not be despaired some larger sense of proportion in all of this. There is a solution and it's not murder. Its enlightenment.(meaning get rid of the religious hocu pocus)
A selective perspective, no doubt.
Croats, Serbs and muslims have been commiting atrocities against one another in the balkans for centuries. To focus on Kosovar complicity is an incomplete and distorted view.
Mr. Drobny, it's all true, but most Americans don't care. We don't even know our own history. 50 years ago, the Kosovo population was 50/50 between Serbs and Albanians, but the Albanians ghetto-ized it. We have to look in the mirror, why have all the whites left the inner cities? The same reason the Serbs left Kosovo. What's shocking is a recognition of a government that has criminal ties or are criminals themselves. Kosovo has the highest birthrate in Europe(half the population is under 25 and many are illegals from Albania). Recognition by the United States government of this toilet of the world is a crime. And why piss off Russia? The US knew they are against this.
I see, so that's why the Serbs were trying to ethnically cleanse the Kosovar Albanians...guess that makes it ok too right? What if you go back 30 years before that? What about 100? Where is your selective history on the episodes of Slav genocides against Muslim inhabitants of the Balkans?
You're calling the current people Nazi war criminals? The war ended over 60 years ago - I didn't see too many elderly rioters. Or is that sort of status inherited?
I don't have a side in this current fight, but I thought that language was bizarre.
