Sensible Blog Management: OpEdNews.com

I am a contributor to OpEdNews.com, a thoughtful progressive site that is run by Rob Kall. He is a good friend and has always been a true believer in the "cause." This is an email that he sent out to all his contributing writers which I think is a standard that should apply to all sensible blog managers. Those who read my last post, Israel Needs A 21st Century Foreign Policy know where I stand. The Mideast problems have many causes. I tried to sum it all up in several previous posts. Pointing fingers is not the answer. Not all Israelis support their government's policies. Perhaps they are trapped as we are in the U.S. with political leaders who just don't get it. So I offer this suggestion to all sensible bloggers.

"I continue to get hate mail from both sides of the middle east conflict. I am trying to create a forum where both sides can express their viewpoints. It needs to be done without hate or meanness.

If you write about the middle east, please include two things in your article

-the Middle East Conflict subject category

At the beginning of your article text, the following:

See this page for links to articles on OpEdNEws that articulate both sides on the issues in the middle east. It is the goal of OpEdNews to air opinions from both sides to stretch the envelope of discussion and communication. Hate statements are not accepted. Discussions of issues and new ideas for solutions are encouraged. .

And don't forget that this middle east crisis is also an incredible rescue for the REpublicans from scrutiny of all their misadventures in the US.
