Have His Back

Posted: 07/09/2012 10:47 am

Do you believe President Obama needs a Congress that will work together and get our economy
moving in the right direction? After watching Republican obstruction on nearly every piece of
legislation, it's time we take a stand to have President Obama's back.

There is too much at stake in this Election to only vote for President Obama and skip Congress.
President Obama will need Democrats to regain control of the House in order to move his agenda forward. We've witnessed the blatant stall tactics of House Republicans and the Tea Party when it comes to moving our economy forward. House Republicans have made their intentions loud and clear: to make Barack Obama a one term president. We cannot allow that to happen. Voter must go to the polls to not only reelect President Obama but to vote down the ballot to elect House Democrats to support President Obama in his second term.

If Republicans maintain control of the House, we'll see much of the same political bickering
while Americans families are left to fin for themselves. Congress is obliged to legislate in the
best interest of the public, instead Republicans have been more concerned with scoring partisan
political points. Under this Republican controlled House, we've seen political games at its best.
For the first time in American History, Republicans overwhelmingly voted to bring contempt
charges against one of the President's sitting Cabinet members (Attorney General Eric Holder).
The House minority leader, Nancy Pelosi called the unprecedented vote a "heinous act", and the
New York Times said "The Republicans shamelessly turned what should be a routine matter
into a pointless constitutional confrontation", further proving Republicans obstruction and abuse
of power. This Republican Congress has chosen partisanship allegiance instead of tackling
the challenges for Americans- facing unemployment, record housing foreclosures, and a slow
recovering economy. House Republicans have gone out of their way to obstruct President Obama
at the expense of the economy, the middle class, and American families struggling through tough economic times. It's time for that to end. In order to have President Obama's back, we need to elect more Democrats to the House of Congress. "Have his Back" means just that, reelect
President Obama but make sure you 'have his back' by voting down ballot to send Democrats to
Congress.

Join me in voting Democrat down the ballot to have President Obama's back because:

• Congressional Republicans have one single goal: to make Barack Obama a one term
president. The Republican Leader of the U.S. Senate actually said it publically on TV.

• Republicans and their millionaire and corporate supporters are part of a broken system
in Washington that favors scoring political points over making progress on the economy,
and looking out for millionaires, big oil, and companies that ship jobs overseas instead of
the middle class.

• If President Obama says it, Republicans in Congress oppose it. They don't even read
important legislation that affects our lives before voting on it.

• This election is about who you are for -- and I'm for President Obama and the
Democrats for Congress who have his back. Don't skip Congress!

Ready to get involved? Go to www.HaveHisBack.com and make sure you're supporting
President Obama and Democratic candidates who support him.

Make sure your family, friends, neighbors, and others "Have his Back" by voting Democrat
down the ballot on Election Day.

When you don't have a valid counter point, call people names even if you know nothing about them. Or are you suggesting only Republicans have mastered the English language?

He can't? That's funny, all the gay lobby and the hispanic lobby had to do was withhold money and votes and jumped right up for them...

It's not just difficult for Black women to come out and support Obama again it's difficult for all of the President's supporters to come out once again.

As much pride as Black women have in this President and what he has done for this country, we are also not disillusioned by what he has not done and what he has been unable to do because of the obstructionist in Congress.

As much as I do and will continue to support this President I can't help but wondering how much he will get done in the next four years if re-elected if the same conditions exist. It is not his fault the Republicans don't want to work with him but as President he is supposed to lead when no one else will and often times he compromises to quickly just in the name of getting it done. What's the purpose of getting it done if it's not right.

It's the same with voting.

Perhaps you can explain why the Democratic Senate led by Harry Reid is holding up all legislation. Perhaps you can explain that when the President had a Democratic House led by Nancy Pelosi and a Democratic Senate led by Harry Reid a budget was not passed for the first three years. Perhaps you can explain why Obams's Jobs Czar, Jeff Immelt, still CEO of GE outsourced the entire 120 year xray division from Wisconsin to China. Perhaps you can explain why cash for clunkers, cash for chalkers, cash for appliances, simulus 1 and 2 and the 14 Green Energy programs such as Solyndra has failed. Can you explain why the Democratic Party with the most powerful women in the world such as Susan Rice, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Oprah Winfree, Vallary Jarrett, Kathleen Siebilious and Janet Napolitano conducts a War on Women where Planned Parenthood allows girls to be aborted over boys as desired. Please explain 11% unemployment in the Black Community

Obama supporters keep saying Obama compromises too quickly. What do y'all mean by that? What has Obama compromised on with the republicans? And, of course, republicans are going to block things that Obama and the left want, They don't agree with certain policies of him and his party, that's why they were elected to congress. I don't believe in taking money from people that have it and giving it to people that don't. Obama does. I don't believe people that break the law to enter this country should be rewarded for that. Obama does. I don't believe this country is great because of it's government. Obama does. I don't believe gays should get married, civil unions yes, but not marriage. Obama does. I don't believe spending more money in a time of financial hardship is wise, Obama does. Obama and the dems don't have all the answers no one does. That's why he and the dems have opposition.

If the years of baby Bush's administration taught us nothing (aside from the fact that an entire nation could collectively suffer from PTSD) it is that the president CAN and WILL do whatever he/she want's to push that agenda into the hands of the public.

Regardless if it is illegal , lawful, evil or rightous.

That said, the Pres. has really left me with a LOT of questions hinging on questioning his motivations. There are so many instances where he didn't need to play pitty pat with the likes of "Congress" in order to make an executive desicion that would better the lives of the public. Yet chose to anyway.

One truly has to wonder if all sides are really as different as we've been led to believe...

He didn't "play pitty pat with the likes of congress" regarding the DREAM act. The illegal aliens threatened to withhold their votes and out came that executive order like a shot...

Indeed.

While us young legal citizens, who grew up watching our parents jobs be outsourced overseas, now work as baristas with law degrees ; he passes an executive order to give illegal residents - criminals infact by the definition - a priority in regards to job security and education.

0_o ...does that add up?

it's more important to keep politics balanced so no one party can set destructive agendas, that was one of the main ideas of our founders.

The Supreme Court has uncovered ObamaCare as greatest tax increase in history, a deliberate tax to be collected by the 16,000 new Gestopo IRS agents. The choice now is crystal clear, the fog that Nancy Pelosi alluded to is gone and the lie has been exposed leaving Americans hopping mad....

The Conservative Right, Libertarians, stay at homes moms, the Tea Party and Proud Black Conservatives are now all motivated to throw all Democrats out at any cost...With the President's out of touch stand on the Gay Lesbian issue, a stagnant economy, the high taxes and lies of ObamaCare and the 11% unemployment of minorities you are trumpeting the only thing that the President has given the Black Community, a rap video of "We got your Back"?

You need to go too....

But if the President did do anything for the black community, whites would scream about that, so what do people expect him to do? He can barely make reference to anything regarding the black community without criticism, "If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon", which is a true statement, but he was blasted for it. He cannot just do things for the black community, he has to do things for all citizens, and that seems to be how he is working his agenda, for all Americans, not just black Americans.
