The Dow Jones took another dive yesterday, falling 678.91 points to 8579. Media companies are hurting, as Viacom and News Corp each hit 5 five year lows yesterday. The tech sector is also hurting, with Google closing yesterday at 328 and Yahoo falling under $13.
BARACK OBAMA has purchased thirty minutes of network airspace on October 29th. Obama bought half hour slots at 8PM on both CBS and NBC. Analysts believe each half hour national spot would cost roughly $1.5 million.
APPLE is expected to unveil new laptops next week for reporters and analysts. Pundits believe that Apple is set to roll out a laptop that would retail for around $800, $300 cheaper than the cheapest MacBook. The cut in cost would put Apple laptops closer to its PC competitors in price, as well as providing an affordable option during the economic down turn.
GOOGLE is developing options for advertisers to directly target iPhone users. The move would give advertisers direct access to an estimated 10 million iPhone users who use Google to search the web.
