Google Preparing a Tablet? : MediaBytes with Shelly Palmer January 4, 2010

As Google prepares to unveil its new phone, rumors are circulating that the company may also be preparing a tablet computer. Reports are coming out that Google and HTC have been working on a touch-screen tablet for over a year and a half. While word is scant, analysts believe the tablet could hit the market around the same time as the Apple tablet.

Google's Chrome web browser is catching on quickly. The browser, often noted for its speed, was released just last year for Windows based computers, and only a little over a month ago for Macs, however, it is now the third most popular browser available. Chrome overtook Apple's Safari to become the third most popular browser, behind Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Mozilla's Firefox.


After threats that Time Warner Cable subscribers would lose Fox, News Corp and TWC reached a deal during extended negotiations.
While TWC users will be able to enjoy the Super Bowl later this month on Fox, Cablevision subscribers were hit much harder. Cablevision was in negotiations with the Scripps Network, however, Scripps stopped broadcasting the popular Food Network and HGTV on Cablevision after their former deal expired.
