Jacob Isom has become a hero in his town of Amarillo, Texas and online after stopping a public burning of the Quran by Christian Activist, David Grisham. Isom's video interview with a local news station about the event has since gone viral, made into an auto-tune and landed him into meme territory with a Facebook Fan Page and even t-shirts. I interviewed him about the video, going viral and his message to America.

Sorry, he could use a BETTER job. This is the kind of young person that the Political establishment should be taking under their wings and teaching how to be the future of America instead of all the nutcases they keep putting out as the new breed in Washington DC. Why not the REAL common person, they guy who brought you your pizza, or the young schoolteachers, or the 30 something year old who manages the local COOPs, or the young Doctor, or young IT pro? That is who we need to start fostering, not wing-nuts w/agendas....

This has gone international.  I hope it saves some NATO lives.

I think it would be fun to get a big burning barrel, and throw in a Koran, a Bible, a Torah, a Dianetics book, a copies of Atlas Shrugged, Dreams from my Father, and GWB's upcoming autobiography, a Bhagavad Gita, The Tripitaka, The Athiest's Bible, a few of Bill Ayers' books, and set them all on fire.

They are all just words. What is most important is how you lead your life, and if someone's rage is hair-triggered by something as mundane and boring as words on paper set on fire, well, doesn't that say something?

I agree with the idea of what you said, but.. language is what makes us human. Speech and writing are the best forms of spreading ideas and encouraging discourse. Those words are pretty important, IMHO. I don't condone burning ANY book by that reasoning, religious or not.

If you spent ten years writing your thoughts and memories to be read by others, would you want those burned? Words are more than just words. I recommend anyone to read up on the social connotations of linguistics. :)

Besides, Jacob Isom is pretty freaking radical. You go little dude!
