Sarah Palin couldn't give a good answer to the Roe v. Wade question Katie Couric asked her?!?
Mangled, and ill informed answers on Hammas, or the Bush Doctrine, or Pakistan, we've come to expect. But on Roe v. Wade?
Sarah Palin was picked by McCain precisely in order to answer that question! She was picked so that she could sit in interviews with people like Katie Couric, and be asked about Roe v. Wade, and sigh, and say, "You know what, Katie, my youngest child, who has been the greatest blessing of our lives ... etc."
She was picked because being pro-life is the heart of her political and personal identity. She was picked to fire up the right wing evangelical base. She was picked as an emblem and champion of modern motherhood.
When they rolled her out at the convention, they cynically surrounded her with her children, including her newborn son who has Down Syndrome and her pregnant 17 year-old daughter. She and Todd were presented by the GOP like a one-family marketing drive for the pro-life movement.
And now, a month on, she can't even give a coherent answer, let alone a powerful one, to a simple question on the merits of Roe v. Wade.
The Republicans have a serious problem on their hands.

Sorry but the argument has gone further than the Repubs having a serious problem on their hands. AMERICA and the rest of the world have a serious problem on their hands if McCain is elected and this woman becomes a heartbeat away.
That last line has to be the understatement of the year. Troopergate. Alaska turning against her. Bridge to Nowhere. "I read them all." But can't name any of them. The Bush Doctrine. How has this woman come this far? America! What a country!
God save us from this woman.
Hey!! She's one of us! A down home girl with real American values. Values like stabbing her friends in the back when it's convienent. Values like polluting the very lake right in front of her house(you can't eat the fish). Values like pride in her 17 year old daughter who is now preggo and fixin' to git hitched. Values like killing defenseless animals from airplanes. Values like not knowing anything about the world or the government. Those are OUR values and she's agonna stand up for them. If the media would just stop asking her stupid questions, they would see what a truly great American she really is.
Not to mention the MANY flag pins that she has in her collection. Clearly a better American than any of us.
