“Torture didn't produce any actionable intel and it actually wasted, time, money & resources. When you wrap yourself in the flag, leave a space for your eyes so you can see more clearly. Or at least tighten the bits over your typing hand.”

“First off, "a lot" is two words. Please stop torturing the English language.
But more importantly, torture didn't work in real life. People died, we wasted a lot (!) of money and man hours chasing bogus leads. Pres. Bush took the FBI interrogation professionals off the case. He then sent in people who used manuals reverse engineered from the Red Chinese who had worked to elicit false confessions. We tortured people (some of whom weren't guilty of any crime) and it didn't work.
So to Hell with people who have a different opinion on the facts and to Hell with those who try to re-write history.”
“Well, not according to the Bible, oh great religious scholar. Exodus differentiates between a person and an embryo.
Exodus 21:22 When people who are fighting injure a pregnant woman so that there is a miscarriage, and yet no further harm follows, the one responsible shall be fined what the woman's husband demands, paying as much as the judges determine. 23 If any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
So you got Science & the Bible against you. But when human embryos become endangered like bald eagles, you might have a point.”

“So, the egg of a bald eagle is more valuable because it's endangered? Ok, I give. How does that verse differentiate between an embryo and a baby?”
“Did God tell you they were babies? Because everyone with a working knowledge of basic science uses the term, fetus.”

“And what else would they? When someone tells you they are pregnant, what do you think is the end result? Do you think it is odd that you can receive a huge fine and/or prison time is you destroy the egg of a bald eagle? You can call it whatever you want, oh great science authority, but it is still a baby.”

“When did the Conservative Right (who constantly vilify Hollywood and it's lack of "family values") start caring what any celebrity says? Let alone a celebrity with seven children by five baby mamas who has only been married twice?
Call Kal Penn a "D-Lister" if you want, but between the two of them, he's the one with real political experience and he gave the better speech.”
