“I'm sorry, but that is insane. The Democrats are the only FOOLS respect the spirit of the parliamentary rules. When Republicans have a simple majority they just ram it through reconciliation that only requires 51 votes (or 50 + the VP to break the tie).
So it is like only Democrats are fighting w/ one hand tied behind their backs.
The constitution calls only for a simple majority. Need to go with this ASAP.”
“And what's your sides policy again? Oh, that's right -- they don't have one!”

“"anemic" means "weak". I am for single-payer...(or all-payer). Obama and Congress have been playing patty-cake with the insurers. In almost all of the proposals being discussed, the public option will function as a stopgap...most people will not have access to it.
The real deal is single-payer. The public option, as you may discover if the policy is ever enacted, is a weak policy proposal that has been created because Democratic politicians are too chicken to go out on the hustings and either advocate for single-payer or really regulate the hell out of the insurance industry.
It's funny that you guys assume that I am against reform if I criticize the cruddy proposals on the table.”
“It is still hard to believe that people like you come to sites like HuffingtonPost, where the average poster is pretty well informed, yet you preach this debunked garbage as if you are actually saving someone from a life 'socialized' Obamacare. If I need saving, I'll call my 'socialized' police.”

“Socialism means that the government has a major role in production of the goods and services in society. Police and fire, and judges can't be considered "socialism" because they are not economic entities. Car factories, candy stores, food stores, and lawn maintenance workers, if directly controlled by the government, would be considered socialistic.”

“You are a socialist. Or maybe you don't realize there are some things best done by government, some best by the private sector and many best done by a combination of both. The fact police, fire, military, highways, bridges, et al are best handled by government does not in any way mean that other activities are. As a for instance, I have no problem with government maintaining public roads, but I don't want them having any control or role in treating my child's heart condition.”
“Care to run your BS by a member of the Armed Services? How about someone on Medicare/Medicaid? Let's see what they think about this poorly run, underfunded, socialized universal healthcare? Be sure to ask them if they're willing to drop it or not, in favor of getting overly priced, drop you at the first sign of trouble, while you're forced to file a bankruptcy to pay off your medical bills because of rescission, private insurance company. You do that, then come back and spit your non-sense!”

“The emotional play is frankly pathetic to use. And for your info, Medicare and Medicaid AREN'T socialized medicine. Before you start tossing the word around, make sure you know what it means. Socialized means that the government OWNS the means of production, or medicine in this case...it does not, it just pays from the funds that those that contributed to it.”
“This simply just can not be true. I mean, come on, Steele and Boehner and Cantor and Limbaugh and Beck and Bachmann and McConnell and Pence and even the MSM declared the stimulus a failure months ago. How dare the WSJ report this!”
“BS! The rich, white conservatives lie, cheat and steal it from everyone else, then b*tch and moan when the playing field gets evened out so that now everyone can have access to what they have access to -- the classic Charles Gibson argument.”
