How Would the Right Know It's Wrong?

Commented Oct 06, 2009 at 11:20:07 in Politics

“OK, here's a start. Rationing is currently being done every single time a medication, procedure, hospitalization, etc., etc., etc., is presented to an insurance company for their review to see how much, or even IF - they will cover it.”

“Sorry, friend, but your party of hate is reaping what it sows.”

SOSTED replied on Oct 06, 2009 at 16:54:28

“I have seen more hate from the left in the last 3 years than all the hate combined from Republicans for the last 40 years.

Lets test my theory, take twenty identical new cars; plaster 1/2 with Obama/Biden bumper stickers and the other half with with McCain/ Palin bumper stickers.
Park the Obama/Biden cars at grocery store in a middle income residential neighborhood in a historically and predomently Republican voting district.
Park the McCain/Palin cars at a grocery store in a middle income residential
neighborhood in a historically and predominantly Democrat voting district.
Leave them for a week.
I would bet a years wages on the difference of the condition of the cars.

Who is more hateful??”

“If you are going to bring up these questions, surely you must have examples of our "weakness in actions" and zealousness. This article is not about weaknesses - it is about the fact there is NO comparison between the left and the right in terms of absolute insanity, incivility, and a pure and unending disregard for the facts. If you can say the same for the Left, then please - some examples.”

Speechlesstx replied on Oct 06, 2009 at 11:59:09

“Examples on the left?

Absolute insanity: the "free Roman Polanksi" movement

Incivility: Your claim there is no comparison between left and right "in terms of absolute insanity, incivility, and a pure and unending disregard for the facts." Kaplan's claim of "ruthless opposition and dingbat delusions." Claiming opposition to Obama's policies is driven by racism. 8 years of vile, incendiary, ruthless opposition to Bush.

Pure and unending disregard for the facts: All of the above.

Sometimes you guys make this too easy.”

Wordswordswords that have no meaning are worthless. Explain to me what your comments have to do with the craziness of the wingbats on the Right.”

“Unbelievable that you would whine about getting "an extra $25.00 here and there in payroll taxes."

Obama gave me the first tax break I can remember, one that I can actually see in my paycheck ever week.”

Drjimmy72296 replied on Sep 28, 2009 at 15:09:55

“Bush was an evil MFer but I got two $600 check from him. $25 is nothing.

And my complaint isn't so much the $25 he's giving me. It's the trillions he's giving to the people who brought the economy down and have suffered absolutely no consequences as a result. They get to keep their bonuses. Cramdown? That's socialism.

We had 30 years of trickle down. It didn't work under Reagan, either Bush, or Clinton. It ain't working now.”

“Thanks. Finally, a voice of patience, reason, and an understanding of what Obama has already done, not to mention doing so with nothing but vocal, irrational and steadfast obstruction the entire time. I expect a lot more good to come!”

JXQ replied on Sep 28, 2009 at 14:14:46

“This equating of what is deemed the "far left" - for opposing Obama, who himself has admitted that in any normal country would be called a conservative - and the far right - the teabaggers who don't know the difference between a socialist and a Nazi and think that Medicare is a healthy example of the free market at work - simply doesn't pass the smell test. The Republicans, Blue Dog Dems, and extreme right are the obstructionists. The progressives are the ones stepping on the gas pedal, not the brakes. Obama, meanwhile, remains in neutral.”

Wilson Is the Poster "Child" for the New Republican Party

Commented Sep 10, 2009 at 14:29:59 in Politics

“Well said except that they have not really handed over control of their party - many are jumping gleefully right into the thick of it, and Wilson's your perfect example. I don't believe for one minute that his outburst was "spontaneous" or motivated by "emotion." His constituents in SC (my state, I'm embarrassed to say) are all about the love of him at his lousy townhalls where he spews the very same lies as Palin, and I can guarantee Wilson's outburst was premeditated in the hope that he would be looked upon as a hero by all the knuckle draggers in this state who believe every lie that comes out of his mouth. And the scary thing is the huge number of people who are doing just that. Right on, Wilson!!! It makes me sick, and again, embarrassed to be a South Carolinian. It's not like we haven't had enough humiliation from our illustrious governer.”

“Absolutely not. Nothing about Fox "scares liberals" except that so many people believe their lies. You - perfect case in point. Fortunately, you are outnumbered. If Fox is number one on cable that's because all the wingy lemmings are stuck like flies to that network and watch it and nothing else, whereas thinking people view many news outlets, both on cable and network news, as well as the internet and a little reading here and there. That allows for a broader perspective as opposed to the absolute and only perspective offered by Fox - that of the neo cons.”
