“Hi, on that note, please visit againstausterity.org, we believe we have a program that is up to the task. It will also explain why I have been so busy and not so active here on HuffPost, please forgive.
“Yes Sam, I must agree with many that say the President can do a lot and is not, and I as well am tired of the whining. There is one simple point that has to be made to clear this all up. The balance we desire is not a balanced budget, it is a balance of power between that described in Carey's "Harmony of Interests"--
-- , between economic class but other things too. We desire a balance of industry and agriculture, and kinds of social well being. For the sake of succinctness the action this President could employ is to push legislation to tax the perhaps 4 Quadrillion turnover in speculative markets to develop revenue and drive investment into long term building of infrastructure.
I know this, you know this and the public knows this.
Why should we not feel betrayed by this Wall Street Puppet?”
“Hi, how ya been, gaining political power seams to be the games name. Certainly the entire political process can be described as Hijacked. Our proposal at UFAA is consolidate a broad spectrum coalition to push a 1% Wall Street Sales Tax. If this causes a break up of the major parties, so be it, what good are they anyway?
“Hi, how ya been. 10-4 blaming is easy leading the change a different thing. I would add that in today's world this all hinges on the Middle Class rediscovering that the MC must gain the political power to create the MC else there simply will not be a MC. This is why my friends and I at UFAA are pushing for the 1% Wall Street Sales Tax and using this issue to cement an anti-austerity coalition capable of gaining sufficient power to do the next things.
“It may be worthwhile to make it clear After restoring Glass-Steagall BOTH the Big Banks AND the FED will be reorganized by bankruptcy, so do it all at once and Build a National Bank with many many prefab local office and branches for the people.
“There is a section of our population that is of particular risk very soon. Do not be fooled by the current rhetoric describing that any proposed changes to Medicare or Social Security will only effect programs of people below a certain specified age. I go on record right now telling you the elderly are in extreme danger and you must prepare now to defend them. I fear that if the people do not rally to protect the elderly the Nation may loose its soul. You are not being told that the cuts proposed to Medicaid will hurt the most because that is how the nursing homes are funded. This a call to action, no cuts are necessary and I am here to explain why and to tell what we can do instead. If our government were not in a state of hijack, it would be a simple matter of passing a bill to provide funding to Medicaid dispensations to people above a specified age expanded to provide for total needs, which makes sense because the total of our physical economy is bequeathed to us by all those gone before us. This means that the older ones among us have more right to its use than anyone else. The funding for this expenditure should come from revenue derived from Capital Gains Tax.....
