Gary Johnson Considering 2012 Election Bid As Libertarian Candidate

“The closest one (IMO) to being sane in recent history was John F. Kennedy. I'm sorry but I see liberalism as insane!”

“He CAN run if he wants to--just not on the GOP ticket!

Let HIM stop being a whiner and just do what he wants to do, I guess--but he's going to have to meet criteria, follow the same rules as everyone else. He needs to raise funds. If he can do it, great, if not, well too bad. He coudn't do it.

He is sounding like a WHINER. I don't hear Ron Paul WHINING. I don't hear Herman Cain WHINING. They're meeting the criteria. They're following the rules. They're raising the funds--even though things were stacked against them BOTH.

If Gary can't get over himself, put on his big boy pants and get to work, stop the whining- then he's not fit to be our next POTUS. I've had more than enough of Barry's whining and sobbing these four years--blaming everyone else for HIS shortcomings, HIS mistakes. He never has yet to just put on his big boy pants and to take it. Oh no. For a time everything was Bush's fault. Then it was the Republicans' fault. Now it's STILL the Republicans' fault. Maybe Gary and Barry can go have themselves a good, old-fashioned pity party! LOL”

“I think you're right, Intelligent Design. Do not people realize that simply forming another party doesn't mean that party too can become corrupt?

I think we need to clean up what we have - in BOTH parties. And as much as the Republican party gets dissed on this forum, I'm going to say I think the Democratic party is even WORSE!

CORRUPT.

In fact, it's so corrupt, it doesn't even realize it anymore! It's grown way too accustomed to its corrupt state to even notice it anymore. To most of them, right is wrong and wrong is right.”

Steve-G on Nov 26, 2011 at 15:50:09

“Excellent point about third parties. Not to quibble, but I think both parties are equally corrupt. Real issues no longer get addressed. Just stupid fights over social issues while Rome is burning and protests are violently suppressed in our gestapo police state.”

“I cannot stand it when people throw statements out there like, "They are the reason everything is screwed." It lays blame on one group of people - in this case, the "elderly" become the enemy--they become the target--they become the "sacrificial lamb."

When do people take some responsibility for ourselves? Or are we all so self-righteous we think we are all perfect?!?

Truth be told, everyone carries some of the blame. Not a ONE is PERFECT.

And it is COWARDLY to blame any group that may not be able to defend themselves--such as the elderly. That's right--beat up on those who can't defend themselves! That's why some people wanted to blame things on other people groups such as Jews (who were a minority) and blacks (also a minority). In some cultures it's been women who have been blamed, pushed around, even beaten.

I could care LESS about your "personal histroy with the elderly" - get OVER yourself. No one group of people is to blame for EVERYTHING wrong in our country or world.

One day, if you live long enough, might I remind you you will become a part of the group you now despise.”

“Part of the group of bigots that have ruined this country by taking our rights away after smoking green and worshiping Timothy Leary? I doubt it. These people running our country into the ground are the same ones who protested the Vietnam War, violently in some cases, and then thrust us feet-first into the most costly series of wars SINCE VIETNAM. And you expect me to thank them for bankrupting our country with their policies of hate and greed? Are you insane?”

“What debateS he participated in? I only saw him in one and so far I've watched all the GOP debates. . .

It is HIS fault he didn't qualify!

It's like saying, "Oh everyone should be allowed to play on the Pittsburg Steelers' team. They don't have any right to have any qualifications to play! They should just let anyone and everyone who wants to play - play!"

So if the worst athlete in the world expresses an interest in playing for the Steelers, but he just is NOT qualified in any way, shape or form to play in a regular football game, let alone one in the NFL, oh golly. They just HAVE to let him play any old way because it's just plain fair. It doesn't matter if all the other athletes have actually worked their way to the top.. have played and played.. and practiced and worked out--gone thru the ranks to get to where they are--nope! Just because this guy says he wants to play, he should be allowed to play!

And then just picture this poor little skinny guy crying outside the field when they won't let him play. Oh boo hoo. The mean old NFL won't let him play just because he didn't meet their requirements. Just because ALL of the other players had to meet them doesn't matter! He should be allowed to play anyway! Just because!”

“Reveal17 - so you've bought into that stereotype, too?

All I can say is maybe to try to expand your horizons a little instead of just reading certain publications or watching certain television networks of your own. I've actually attended a Tea Party. Have you? I've reached out and talked with other people--whether they listen to talk radio, FOX, CNN, MSNBC, read HuffPo or whatnot. IMO, many people have been played by ALL SIDES OF MEDIA - NOT JUST ONE. Some of us are beginning to realize this and wake up.

Try--just for a day--I challenge you--to drop every and all stereotypes and get out among people who are different, who think differently--than you do--and TALK with them. Spend time with them. We learn from one another--or at least we can if we dropt the stupid stereotypes the media has been feeding us for YEARS to keep us divided!”

“I can only take your word for this. Perhaps he is a "good guy." It doesn't mean he's ready or capable to be President of the United States of America.

He cannot seem to garner the support he needs to participate in the debates. That already is telling! It may not be his TIME to run for POTUS.

Why does it take "decency" to go talk to OWC? There has been violence going on in some of their camps--and not just on the police's side (as the media LOVES to report). There have been rapes, thefts, and in-fighting. They have formed their OWN "committees' and a type of government. They want everyone else to provide things for them--which would come from capitalists. lol

I'd have sympathy for them if they just made sense--but I'm sorry--from what I've heard of interviews with them, they do not! Maybe the media can send old Geraldo back down there again (if he dares.. lol).

Personally I cheered a few businessmen who had the guts to peacefully protest the protesters with signs that read, "Occupy a job!" and others like that. lol

Are you aware that many of them have some pretty fat bank accounts of their own???

In my world, we call them "hypocrites."”

“Stereotype: "Republican voters love wars and keeping drugs illegal."

As long as that's as far as one goes, the divisions will remain.

GO DEEPER.

Talk to people--to individuals. You may learn that this stereotype does not fit all "Republican voters" or at the very least there is more to how they believe than what appears on the surface.

Stereotypes are INTENDED to divide. They're used to play US and KEEP us divided--and to attempt to keep us voting for certain parties.

Oh Mylanta do some people still need to WAKE UP.

Sigh.

Hope they do it soon--before it is too late.”

“I can't believe that some people really believe this stuff. Sigh. But then, yes, I guess they do write somewhat convincingly. . .

I hope people wake up to see oh yes--this is organized--but not for what many many think. There are some who actually WANT incidences to happen between "ordinary people" (yeah right-um some of them are the "fat cats" they're supposedly opposing) and the police (or any authorities). If things get bad enough (this has happened elsewhere, in other countries), then the people will often cry out (to their government) for help and protection. And that's when the "Big Bad Government" comes in to "help" the people. They shut EVERYTHING and EVERYONE down. They do what the people cry out for - they take over!

I don't think anyone who is TRULY for PEOPLE and FREEDOM want this to happen.

But this is being orchestrated--mark my words--by some very rich "fat cats' who want to control--want to dictate.

They just haven't been able to incite the violence and conflicts as they have in other countries--just not quite yet. But they're working on it!”

All the other candidates (save for maybe Romney who is being protected by some elite, good-old-boy Republicans and Huntsman who isn't amounting to anything in the polls) have been taking their expected LUMPS - by the media, by people, by other candidates. It is a part of the territory.
