And yes, I have my commercial, multi, instrument license. I fired that 19 year old CFI for many reasons. too big of an ego was just one. And for all you posters making comments about my freedoms and blah blah blah about WW pilots and that nonsense, don't go political with this, I was merely stating the obvious, experience, in which a 19 year old has little to none, In life.”

spying is as old a technique as humankind.

“sadly, this only creates the "debate" of the 2nd amendment, again! guns do not kill people, people kill people. if i smashed a person's head in with an apple, would there be legislation outlawing apples? simply put, humans are human, and to err is human. the right to bear arms is a vital right to protect myself and my family against anyone, including the government. I will never agree to give up that right no matter what happens in USA society. I teared for those that suffer from todays tragic event. As a father, this hurts deep, it touches so many of us on a personal level. hearts and soulful emotions go out to the families that are demolished because of this person that was motivated to do such a heartless act of violence. I am truly sorry to the parents that such a pathetic crime would take away from them their most cherished and loved passion of everything they could and would ever experience. tonight, i cry for you. and i hug my children a little tighter, knowing that it didn't happen to my family. that may sound selfish, but, its true.”

“Killing lots of people is MUCH more difficult when you take the guns out of the picture.”

kain099 on Dec 14, 2012 at 22:50:56

“False equivalency.

If you hit someone in the head with an apple they wouldn't die. also apple's are a food source.

Guns are meant with the express purpose of killing people. if a batch of bad apples got loose, you would expect the government and the fda to protect us by preventing the bad apples from poisoning people.

No one wants to outlaw guns but we di feel that more control should take place so needless deaths dont happen”

Omar Santana on Dec 14, 2012 at 22:48:41

“1st of all, it COULD'VE happened to your family or ANYONE'S family.

2nd, an apple doesnt serve one well if planning to kill people. mass murderers don't go out to kill a bunch of people with apples. or knives. or chainsaws. or big blunt objects. or vehicles to ram into people with.

they use guns. they mostly us semi auto pistols or assault rifles, but mostly the pistols. because those two types tend to do the job of mass killings EFFECTIVELY.

but if you take the assault rifles (the 2nd mostly used gun in mass shootings) and extended clips out of the equation then that would greatly lessen the frequency of these events.

some of the people left, with the exception of this guy, who want to used semi autos would at least think twice about the logistics of their act before committing it.”

“Smash an apple on someone's head and you get apple juice.

Blast a bullet in their head and you get a dead body.

Quit comparing apples with oranges...and the loss of human life.”

“Guns in the wrong hands kill people. Unfortunately, and repeatedly, guns seem to be getting into the wrong hands over and over and over.”

synergie on Dec 14, 2012 at 22:26:23

“The legislation isn't about outlawing the instrument, it's about regulating the PEOPLE who are permitted to possess it, how they're allowed to wield it and where.

How about we leave the guns alone and regulate the cores out of anyone who doesn't have a darned good reason for having a gun?”

and while i agree with you above, we can do some things to reduce gun violence.

better gun education
mental healthcare,
community development.”

DocForge on Dec 14, 2012 at 22:22:39

“Very tiresome. You should go out and spend your savings on more ammo than you could possibly need because the gun lobbies are playing you for a chump and trick you into believing Obama's going after your guns.”

Rick4646 on Dec 14, 2012 at 22:22:19

“people who should not get guns should not be able to get them so easily -- too many legal loopholes to where criminals and mentally unstable people can easily get these semi-automatic war weapons.”

Thack50 on Dec 14, 2012 at 22:20:39

“Guns are made to make killing easier. Apples aren't. Baseball bats aren't. You must be a right winger. They have no ability to think critically.

Make all hunting rifles single shot muzzle loaders that use black powder. Ban handguns completely.

The idea that the Founders gave everyone the right to keep and bear arms is untrue. They said that the right to bear arms was based on a "well-regulated Militia" which means a militia of American citizens that trained together (that is the meaning of "well-regulated".). That was written in the days before the US had a standing army. Those days are long gone. Today the right to "keep and bear arms" to form a regulated militia means you need armor, artillery, and an air force. The right is silly in today's context since there is no militia or need for one.”

“What was your point with your first comment? "You're not thinking". Because I don't recall you making a point. The point I was touching on was that American pundits and bloggers have a tendency to assume that Iran will bomb Israel, even the previous president of Iran had made a few statements regarding the annihilation of Israel. American politics present to the american public the idea that if Iran goes nuclear, it would be a "grave" threat to the region and america would have to hold a huge responsibility for policing the region. My side-point being, why should America be so involved? Let them decide if they want to be nuclear, if they are smart enough to realize that windfall could pose a problem, then they would probably not bomb israel with nuclear weapons. maybe conventional, but probably not nuclear.”

“And the fallout from that would go where? with "hundreds" of nukes "raining" down on Iran, that would be a lot of atmospheric toxins. I wonder if the neighboring countries would appreciate the callousness of american inconsiderations. Besides, Israel doesn't have nukes! They're such a peaceful governed nation, like the US.”
