“Bingo Jahzilla. How else could a dope like Sean Hannity be on the air. Intellectual laziness is a national epidemic. It goes something like this- show a bunch of republican legislators wearing Flag pins in their lapel. Mention 9/11. Say something like "our brave men and women in Iraq are fighting and dying for the flag and what it represents". Show Obama not wearing Flag lapel pin. Demand to know how any American could be against the troops by not wearing Flag lapel pin.
Repeat 67350 times.”
“if you say typical grandmother instead of typical white person, you get an entirely different result. when i heard it, that's what i thought of. i know what he said. i've heard the talking points. these people speak for 17 hours a day and sleep on a plane or a bus for a year. they're tired. this gotcha stuff speaks volumes about our 30 second attention span. it's just so pedestrian to seize on a phrase and repeat it over and over. "if mccain had said typical black person". i get it. don't vote for him if you're so offended.
This Hannity formula of dumbing everything down until you get black and white (depth not race) is so intellectually lazy you end up with Flag Lapel pins as a decisive issue. I've actually heard a congressman say failure to wear a flag pin is disqualifying. If this is the level of discussion we've been reduced to, God help us all.”
“I certainly intend on treating the breakdown of message discipline at Fox with a cautious and juandiced eye. For at least 10 years, Fox has spoken with the same voice without exception. Now, Chris Wallace is so desperate to get Obama on his show he starts an " Obama Clock " on Sunday. On Friday, he finds a conscience and decries " Obama Bashing" amplified by Brian Kilmeade walking off the show. With all respect to Brian Kilmeade, I truly don't believe he's had an original thought in his life. For yours we've seen this guy act like Fox's bouncer. On Friday, he found his voice. I hope I'm wrong but if for the last 10 years I walked by my neighbor's pitbull and he tried to bite me, I certainly wouldn't try to pet him because he didn't try and bite me one day.”

“Apache6, exactly what I was thinking”

“Of course, I never thought much of Kilmeade as any kind of journalist (or talk show personality, for that matter) but I always suspected that there may be an honest person in there somewhere.”

“Obama bashing -- yes. Fox has bashed every liberal it can. Thank God Brian Kilmeade had the guts for this historic walk off. What a great guy to do that -- to rish his career. Brian has been carrying water for Fox for years now, and I think he got tired of it.
Fox is a very interesting network. Just like OReilly's show is sometimes ALL spin -- which is Ironic to be named no spin zone. But lets give FOX some credit for all the democrats and liberals it DOES put on.
FOX has talked a great game about giving both sides - now lets see if it really does.”

“You left wing wackos just do not get it! You are being totally disingenuous when it come to Fox News. I know it kills you it is the number one channel new program. How did it get there? With viewers who can think on their own, not like the left wing blogs who hate the world. McCain is our next president so get over it!
Why. Because Billery and Obama refuse to go against a small portion of their support (left wing) and appear on Fox News.”

“Yes, I would agree with Apache6. This could just be a set up. Not like it isnt like Faux to create news to cover.”
“So correct TN. Fox always stays on message. It's like a paramilitary organization in that deviation from the script must come from the top. I'm not buying this departure from message discipline. THe equation looks something like this:
Chris Wallace "FInds" Conscience and Fairness- "Debate" about divergent views on Fox erupts- Obama changes mind and goes on Wallace sunday show- Wallace shows true agenda.
Now that Chris Wallace is so fair and balanced, Obama would be a chicken not to go on his show. Remember, this is the same Chris Wallace who started the " Obama Watch" with the clock from "24" on Sunday. Quite a rapid transition to fairness. WHO SMELLS A RAT?”

“Not smart to insult Veterans, since we are over 60 million strong. I'm an independent still undecided. You're not going to win my demographics vote....but maybe you don't care. If so, you've helped to make my decision. Your comments make me want to vote for McCain out of spite. So kiss my azz, or me and my extended family (54 members) are voting for McCain and recommending others to vote for McCain. And we are all registered independents.
Here's my favorite Winston Churhill quote: "If you're not liberal when you're young, and conservative when you're older, there must be something wrong with you".”
“Winston Churchill was holding a dinner party and turned to the attractive woman to his side and asked philosophically if she would sleep with a drunken man in the street for a million pounds. She answered that she'd have to consider it for a million pounds. Churchill then asked her if she would sleep with the same man for 5 pounds. Exasperated, she turned to Churchill and remarked " Sir, I am offended. What do you take me for, a common harlot?
To which Churchill replied " We've already established that fact, Madam. Now we're attempting to determine price."
Parable aside, Lieberman's depth of charactor and lack of sense of loyality are shockingly absent. This man was born without the shame gene.”

“Or maybe it was George Bernard Shaw.
Good point, either way.
Lieberman, a man in search of himself.”

“Sorry - not Winston Churchill - George Bernard Shaw, I believe. It was Churchill who (when chastised for drunkenness) said "Yes, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly".”
“Good point. Gregory does seem like a world class phony. Not to condone what Imus said, but prior to that Gregory used to come on all the time and smooch Imus' butt. After the Rutgers event, Gregory went out of his way to pile on. Not an admirable trait.”
