Tiger Woods Needs to Step Forward... And Tell it to Oprah

Commented Dec 11, 2009 at 18:44:00 in Media

“Who the hell was it that Tiger killed? What is wrong with him having encounters? Which one of us, in our brief moments of honest reflection, does not say "...darn, I wish I had his money, fame, success at my chosen proffession and the ability to have my choice of female companionship whereever and whenever I want". It is only those who HONESTLY do not think that can be critical. In any event, it is hios choice. He is not paid NOT to have women. He is paid to play golf at the highest level. Has his having many women made him a worse golfer.

Grow to phuch up America!”

An Untarnished Tiger: Woods' Last Shining Moment

Commented Dec 08, 2009 at 04:41:08 in Sports

“What is it with you folks/ Whose business is it who Tiger 'mauls"? His extra-golf activiyies are his business, not ours.

As for the Swedish babysitter who struck gold, was she as "shocked" by his wealth and power when she met him and began to feel the feel? She is just a gold digger.

If El Tigre had just married a non white woman, none oif this would have mattered. He chose the wrong club. He is now in the hazard.

But, truth be told, like every other successful black person in America, they are always gunning for you.”

Selling Out in Congress

Commented Nov 25, 2009 at 05:19:23 in Politics

“bermanator:

Wrong!

"assymetrical warfare" as you call it, was being practised in Palestine by the Jews against the British Administrators and the Palestine People right up to 1948. Then it was called "Nationalism" as the Euorpeans of the Fewish Faith wreaked havoc on the Palestinian People. Now the same military tactics are called "assymetrical warfare". The bulk of the InternationalLaws to which you refer were created AFTER 1945.

All sides need to step back and accept Peace. Stop any type of warfare, symetrical and assymetrical.

Peace.”

And if I hear even once more the language in Hamas' char.ter used to justify the slaughter of civillians; I'm pretty sure I'm gonna puke.

"Assymetrical warfare" is a sterilized way to describe the "ten-to-one" doctrine;
i.e....for every life we lose we will make sure to kill ten of THEM.

Any fool with eyes could see what took place in Gaza last January.....and no one needs a commission or a judge to tell them that turning loose a modern air force on massed civillians in a crowded urban setting is manifestly EVIL.

The entire operation was a "War Crime"

Joe Lieberman Filibusters Health Care While Americans Suffer

Commented Nov 13, 2009 at 05:38:04 in Politics

“Is it "American" for people to die because they cannot afford private Health Insurance?
Is it "American" for people to make millions of dollars in nett profit from sick people?
The Highways YOU drive on are Federal Government!
The Armed Forces you Right Wingers mollycoddle are Federal Government!
The Border Agents, INS, Customs etc are Federal Government!
The airtraffic control system is Federal Government!
The Coast Guard that protects the seas are Federal Government!
Why not just do away with ALL government and lets see how you "Free Marketeers" survive.
No Congress. No Laws to Govern and regulate. No Armed Forces to defend ( and attack innocent countries to create work for Blackwater etc), No airtraffic control therefore airlines, no highways, nothing provided by Government at all.
In the meantime the rest of us will step away from you spacelings while you self destruct asyou are self destructing the American Empire with your "Free Market" ideology.

“Funny.

We have laws that require basic education for all, legal representation for all, freedom of movement for all, privacy for all law-abiding citizens, yet the suggestion that we should have health care for all is considered "unAmerican?"

If everything was run like health care, the only thing that would characterize America is lawlessness. The cost of everything from food to housing would be beyond many people leaving them no other choice if they are to survive.

What kind of society do we want? Our Health care system is not just an expensive joke. It is cruel.”

Rhode Island Inches Closer To Banning Prostitution

Commented Oct 28, 2009 at 05:47:37 in Politics

“Why is it that we think we should dictate to a woman that she cannot make a man, or woman, pay her for the honour of coupling with her? Who are we to impose our hypocritical "values" on others?
If you think about it, every man and woman exchanges money or money value for sex. When you take your date to dinner etc. and you pay the cost, you then have "consensual sex in a relationship". How is that different to a woman or man having a short date with someone they are not in a long term relationship with and, instead of buying them dinner etc., they give that person the money to buy dinner etc.,? Like a spouse giving the other spouse money, gifts, a roof over their head etc., it is a Law of Nature for there to be an exchange related to the sex act.

A woman has a Right to demand money in exchange for the honour of your use of it. Perhaps all the hypocrites who are against that, for whatever reasons they spout, should shut their blather and get on with their own lives, and stop doing anything which benefits their spouses or partners or dates.

America: the land of Universally failed policies of banning certain human behaviour.”

Duffy replied on Oct 28, 2009 at 06:51:16

“Prostitution is paying for a sex act. Marriage is not that. Marriage is joining two lives together in mutual support, and often builds a family. Prostitution is joining two genitalia together in a business transaction. I find the comparison insulting, to say the least.”

Duffy replied on Oct 28, 2009 at 06:35:26

Singlepayer Universal Healthcare now!”

don replied on Oct 08, 2009 at 06:53:55

“Without a plan to rein in the rising provider costs, they will gobble up that 30% savings in a heartbeat. An increased tax rate on the wealthy, medical providers included, would apply a governor to the greed that those folks express by at least putting part of the excess back into the front end of the system. The Reaganomics tax cuts have wrecked this country. Trickle down doesn't start with the rich, it starts with the government. It's time for a return of sanity and civic responsibility for the privileged class.”

Realization replied on Oct 08, 2009 at 06:27:46

“Single payer also provides that ability to simplify the system, use economies of scale with a large risk pool, and to negotiate with providers and Big Pharma to keep costs down. Nothing else on the table is anything but a mess of Rube Goldberg solutions that will not really sole our problems.

The U.S. spends over 16% of GDP on health care while other developed nations spend about 10% for universal coverage with less bureaucracy and unfairness. Cutting U.S. spending to the 10% level would save about $1 trillion per year. This would stop the drag on the real economy and improve our international competitiveness.

Could we do as well as our foreign competition? Of course. Why don't we? The GOP's anti-government philosophy and propaganda (and inability to run government, some of it intentional) and industry influence with Congress.

The health care issue isn't just about health care. It is part of a number of questions that will determine whether the U.S. remains a first world country or continues the slide into the second (or third) world that was started by the "Conservatives". (Radical Right Wing Fundamentalists who hijacked that term and are anti-science, anti-education, anti-government, and immoral. This includes but is not limited to the American Taliban of the Christian Right, who are often not Christians at all since they don't believe in the actual teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.)”

“Only in a Just World where each Nation is treated equitably, will there be Peace. In such a World there is no G20, or "Superpower" imposing their Nationalist Agenda at the barrel of a gun or threat of Economic Blacklisting on other Nations and Peoples. When we recognize this and begin to treat others as we would wish to be treated, there will be no need for boycotts. The reality is that all of the reasons which spur the G20 and our own "Superpower" to act in this bullying way at home. Tthe G20. They claim "Offshore Tax Havens" and the sub-prime mortgage takers, not lenders, are the causes for the World Financial Crisis. Nothing about the vulgar abusus of their own in creating fictional money based on gambling with non existent assets -derivitives and their counterparts like 'credit default swaps' etc. Creating all this "money" was heralded as being inovative. Until calls were made for funds in banks. Then there were no funds to back this 'new money'. All houdini-like, Las vegas paper 'money'. They ignore that they have ravaged their own middle class by the offshoring of the fundamental blood of an economy: manufacturing jobs.
In their piggish greed for the next dollar, they have destroyed the basis of growth in their own economies and must permit the false creation of wealth so as to be able to bowwoe from the very countries to which they have transfused their wealth.

They need to boycott themselves.”

Huff Daddy replied on Sep 11, 2009 at 09:26:04

“Call it what you want, Interstate highways are one of the limited enumerated powers that the constitution allows Congress to tax for under postal roads and airports are a logical extension of this as well. Armed forces are another. Continuing to perpetuate the myth that Conservatives are against all taxes is ridiculous.

You know exactly what we are against... redistribution of wealth. The constitution is very specific and limited regarding what it's citizens could be taxed for specifically to guard against redistribution of wealth. The Constitution protects property rights and the fruits of my labor is my property. You can make a case to tax for almost anything that the community has an opportunity to share in equally or a service that everyone can benefit from equally, but that's not what any of you are talking about. It's about redistributing wealth from one person to another period.

You are only for choice when it comes to abortion & gay rights. You're not for choice in any other situations. Don't try to make a claim that your for choice on health care, you want single payer. School vouchers, what car I drive, light bulbs, freedom to negotiate my own terms with my employer without a union, a private option for Social Security, etc. e”
