“Pardon me Dr.Rice, I didn't see any mixed messages to us women, it's all shown on social media what the men in your party thought of us . If only you went public with your opposition to how Rush/Akin and his like talked about rape/women issues, then we would have appreciated that, at least you tried. Sorry, but no...and sad too!”
“Remember the name, RON JOHNSON of Wisconsin, next election, just like joe "dead beat dad" walsh, you will be ousted by this Left Coast voter:) The best revenge is to support his opponent next election cycle.”
“She was the lint that lit the call for the cancellation. A lot of runners still wanting the race to go in the hope that the event will help inspire, give hope...but the reality is more than they imagine and they saw that themselves. So in the end, it's good that they are now following Miss Penny Krakoff's example. KUDOS to this social worker :) Thank you to all who are volunteering. Let us be there in spirit by donating to the ARC or any organization approved by charity navigator, this way 99% will go to the relief fund.”
“My comment was not accepted before, had a link to The American Red Cross. So re-typing.
I am still ambivalent of my feelings , can see the point of view towards continuing with the event but can not imagine "the what ifs" regarding the public health implications (besides what is already happening now!), it is also just DAYS from when the disaster took place. As an onlooker, the only thing we can do is to donate time/money/blood and hope the racers will do as well, Just imagine if they give $200 each plus what ING is supposedly donating , a million that would be a balm to those affected. Even better if ING donates ALL the proceeds, but what to do with the resources that would be diverted....... ahhh!! choices!”
