“Oswald DID fire shots from the Texas School Book Depository but the shots OSwald fired weren't the ones that killed Kennedy. Oswald himself claimed he was set up as a "patsy" and he may well have been right. Not that he was completely innocent but that he wasn't the only guilty party and was the one who was used as the scapegoat. Jack Ruby's purpose in shooting him was to keep him from revealing this fact. All this is ancient history, including this theory, which is the only one that strikes me as remotely plausible.”
Sagamore72 replied on Nov 03, 2009 at 09:33:04
“ThePresident was to speak at the Trade Mart at 12:30. He was due in Dealey Plaza at 12:25. At that very moment LHO was seen in the 2nd floor lunch room by one of the female workers in the building. At 12:32, moments after the shooting, LHO was confronted at a Coke machine by Officer Marion Baker, while buying a Dr. Pepper. One, an assassin who takes the time to have lunch at the same time his target is due to arrive, takes a very casual approach to his work. And, two, even if you believe that, he still would have had to run down 4 flights of stairs to the other side of the building in a little over a minute to meet up with Officer Baker, while being fully composed, no sweat, no breathlessness. None of it adds up. He just murdered the POTUS and he calmly buys a soda. Sorry, but this is one of the parts of this mystery that makes no sense.”

I do not want to discourage your interest by getting aggressive, so please tell me what makes you so sure that LHO fired a rifle that day, when the parafin test on his cheek showed that he may not have and the test on his hand showed nitrates but they could have been residual.
What makes you so sure other than hearsay?

“BB: "Oswald DID fire shots from the Texas School Book Depository."
Who or what told you that for a fact? A voice? Warren Commission Report? What?
Oswald was physically present in the lunch room on second floor minutes after the shots were heard.
The first (real) cops on the scene inside the building questioning Oswald did NOT reportedly observe him to be out of breath or anything other than calm and normal.
Anyone racing down 4 floors after shooting the president would be out of breath with a racing pulse. IF Oswald DID shoot, as you allege, he would be a damn idiot to be sitting there calmly in the lunchroom, knowing full well that his prints would be on the alleged rifle, and gunpowder traces would be all over his hands and body.
Remember, as his detractors allege, he had plenty of time to methodically plan this dastardly deed and contemplate the consequences. For a knowingly guilty person, he would either be
1) busily removing all incriminating traces of evidence,
or 2) he would be ready to own up to the alleged act openly without any qualms and reservations.
Which is it? Which story do you want to pin on Oswald to make it stick?”

The Kennedy Assassination: New Details About the Transfer of Power

“What a ridiculous debate. No matter a what exact time JFK _died, Johnson was Acting President from the instant that Kennedy was _shot onwards. Because the law is that the VP automatically becomes Acting President in the event the President is incapacitated, which JFK clearly was, legally _dead or not. So the real transition for LBJ was not from VP to President but from Acting President (from the moment the _shots were fired) to President, which is why the whole thing is ridiculous.”
A New Wrinkle in the JFK Assassination Story

“The nub of the story is not LBJ's emotionalism. The nub of the story is his belief that the JFK _assassination was the result of a _conspiracy. You would think he'd be in a position to know. And at least he was honest about it in contrast to most of the people involved in the investigation.”
Sam418 replied on Oct 30, 2009 at 15:07:20
“The "nub," as you've put it, is only an interesting tidbit (if true) that is being called "explosive" by the author of this piece. Who, by the way, is the same author of the book he's trying to sell. This is a self written promo piece for an unsubstantiated claim that isn't even that amazing to begin with.”

KillgoreTrout43 replied on Oct 30, 2009 at 14:09:32
“I was around in those days and after, and never once heard of Johnson being succomed by weak emotions. Quite the opposite was always reported. He was a tough guy. Was he shook up by the assassination? Absolutely. Was he found weeping and scared in the plane's powder room? I seriously doubt that.”
