“How much are they paying you to go around spamming Huff Post? There are estimates by the Physicians for a National Healthcare Plan that we will save $400 billion a year with single payer and everyone will be covered. $400 billion adds up to $1.5 trillion pretty quick. Oh and in Europe they just shake their heads about the land of the free and the home of the brave can't give its own people universal healthcare without the approval of big business. That is where a corporate bureaucrat comes between you are your doctor.”

“I'm in the eastern time zone, in a state near Chicago, on a Mac computer, using Safari browser, using FLIPFORMAC (Microsoft doesn't make Windows Media Player for Macs anymore) and able to watch the concert when I want. Why they didn't make it so it would fill my computer screen is puzzling to me but maybe it is the FLIPFORMAC conversion.
It would have been nice if the concert was brought live to anyone who had a TV with or without cable. The cost of the Inaugural is getting some attention and some apparent distortion as expenses between Bush 43 2005 security isn't being included (conservative media ownership?).
Hopefully, HBO paid a high price for the privilege so those nasty costs will come down.”

“The problem isn't that all lefties think things were better with Saddam. It is that too many righties righties think that just because American military might came through the country everything is peachy and life is beautiful.

All those things listed from Oxfam plus I'm sure more like it is more dangerous to be a woman overall and a christian now than it was before Saddam was ousted. Kind of ironic how the christian right supported Bush and now it is more dangerous to be a christian in the middle east. Just freaking brilliant isn't it?!”

Now when it come to Wall Street, it's almost a complete turn around. What's the matter Mr./Ms. CEO, Can't afford that new yacht or private Island? Well we'll fix that?”

“I swear these close elections are ginned up by the press to make it seem like it's close. If people where called out on their lies instead hour after hour of what does your side say by competing candidate surrogates. Well they would have to find something else to fill the air space with and we might get some real definition here.”

“I am in complete agreement. The media--I would say TV more than the press--cannot afford to have the race called this early on because of advertising monies which would be lost. And think of all the monies they get from campaign ads! I just read the state poll numbers on Real Clear Politics this Saturday morning and have seen no closing in for John McCain. In fact, in certain states like MO, NC, ND and WV it is Obama who is gaining. How would the "experts" explain this difference between the national and state polls?”
