There are many reasons for this, but how many women know that they can go to a pharmacy and ask for this pill after unprotected sex up to 72 hours after the event? “Thanks Betsy. For the first time since I was 20 months old, I have no health insurance. It's pretty scary. Didn't mean to suggest you didn't care about people like us. I do hear so many negative things from people who think that health reform will mean they will have to wait forever to be seen by their doc or specialist. The $5,000 was almost eaten up on the same day they took his bone marrow sample. One of the prescriptions that day cost $1,200 for a 7 day supply. We had to wait in the pharmacy for almost 2 hours to get approval from the thugs who dispensed his insurance.
