“The Iraq withdrawal is underway according to the timetable negotiated by the previous administration. Bush actually stole a bit of his thunder there in the fourth quarter.”

“How is Jimmy Carter an anti-semite? He dared to criticize Israel I suppose?”

LongBeachDave replied on Nov 28, 2009 at 23:15:25

“Yes, that was it...he dares even today to express an idea or opinion that does not fall in line with the Jewish lobby in the US or those who equate the foreign policy of the United States with that of the nation of Israel. Disagreement with what Israel does as a nation....killing civilians, ignoring UN resolutions and building settlements on land that they have stolen...means you are an anti-semite.”

“I also think it's an excellent choice. They picked the a man who is commander in chief of the world's largest military and is currently prosecuting two separate wars in third world countries. If they gave a Nobel Prize for War I guess the Dalai Lama would get it.”

Heads Should Roll Over Obama State Dinner Security Breach

“I worked along side the Secret Service in New York and found them very professional. i thought they were superior to the FBI. This is troubling. As Americans we key in on the safety of the president but look at who his guest was. We are within days of the one year anniversary of the murderous attacks on Mumbai. We also look at this bleached blond scare crow of a woman and dismiss someone like her as a threat. She could of course be a domestic terrorist but she could also be an Islamic fundamentalist with terror in her heart. Islam is a religion not a racial or ethnic group. The crazies cut across all sexes, races and nationalities.”

“Can you document this with any scientific studies?”

isjois replied on Nov 06, 2009 at 18:19:15

“"Science" is not perfect...because human beings complete the studies and experiments. And..we all know that people frequently make mistakes!

Many who call for "science" are the first to discount anecdotal evidence.

If they can discount "anecdotal evidence", we can discount "science".”

NHGranite replied on Nov 06, 2009 at 17:32:24

“If science incorporated more anecdotal information, maybe science would learn a thing or two. People have said, but science poo-pooed the idea that we have auras. The Japanese developed cameras that prove that humans give off visible light. Let science catch up to us!”

“Bingo.

The author did not even address that very likely possibility, nor the issue of trust that may be lost forever.

It's not just about the offender not wanting to discuss the indiscretion/affair/infidelities, nor about the offended needing to in order to understand and resolve these hurtful occurrences.

It is about the likelihood that the offended has lost faith in the spouse, and will never feel connected to him/her again.”

“Hitler was a despicable man but a despicable man can be a gifted man and even a man of bravery. Men like Hitler and Stalin would never have risen to the heights that they did without certain personal attributes that enabled them to do so. To point this out in no way makes someone a Nazi or Stalinist sympathizer.”
