“He was taught to "read a teleprompter really really well?" The guy stutters a stammers and hangs on words like nobody I've ever seen. Bush wasn't a good public speaker, but I don't think he ever thought he was. Obama no doubt believes he was given a divine gift for speech, bolstered by the sheep drooling all over him and calling the "great orator," and yet there are so many "uuuuhhhhhsss" whenever he talks I can't even remember the topic half the time.”
“You're grasping at straws to make a point, because this has nothing to do with gay marriage being a state or federal issue. It's about a person's right to make their own decisions. Hasn't the Left been saying for years that you can't legislate morality? You can't have it both ways either. What's morally right here is irrelevant. A business owner has the right to do business with whomever they so choose, regardless of the reason. I think it's stupid, but I don't own this place so it isn't really my decision.”

“The business has to follow the laws of the state it operates in, so they cannot discriminate in this instance.
If they want to fight for the right to discriminate, then they can fight for everyones right to discriminate against anyone they choose. I would not agree with that myself, but at least it would be representationally faithful.”
“Of course it would be "OK" in a legal sense. Hasn't the Left been saying for years that it's wrong to legislate morality? While I believe it's morally wrong not to serve them, not too mention bad business, the owner has the right to serve anybody, everybody or nobody.”

“"the owner has the right to serve anybody, everybody or nobody. "
No, antidiscrimination laws exist for very, very good reasons. The burden of having to search and find businesses that will not refuse you service for merely existing can and has been too great for many.
If a business wants to be able to serve the public (and it's not debatable that the business has to meet certain governmental standards, like safety and health) then they have to serve all of the public.”

“I can't support hate and that is exactly what it is. If you apply that thinking to everyone this world would be nuts and a hateful place to live.”
“Perfectly said. I wonder how we are supposed to get past racism when every time a minority does a good deed the media finds something racist about the aftermath. You're also dead on that we have far more important things to work on in society.”

“Thanks :) I feel like we're raising a society of cry babies...”
