“Temporarily I'm sure. Once the furor dies down they'll have a big sale on 'em. Remember, in America the only thing worse that slaughtering a room full of 6 year old children with a semi-automatic military style weapon is passing up a profit.”
“No! MAKE them carry guns. Bushmasters. Locked and loaded. On their persons at all times. Send them to boot camp. Make them recite the Rifle Creed on the PA every single day.
My rifle and myself know that what counts in this war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit...
My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage as I will ever guard my legs, my arms, my eyes and my heart against damage. I will keep my rifle clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...
Before God, I swear this creed. My rifle and myself are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We
are the saviors of my life.
So be it, until victory is America's and there is no enemy, but peace!”

“I'm sorry sir, but the 2nd amendment only speaks for 18th century muskets.”

deanleto on Dec 18, 2012 at 12:16:58
1) you sound like you live in a war zone... i don't think Americans want to make a war zone of their communities....
2) most teachers are peace loving folks who are sensitive and care for children... making them carry guns will just drive at least half out of the profession, to be replaced by folks who are generally more violent in nature... also not a good example for children”

“I was just going to F/F. But them I thought what if this not sarcasm. After all there are person that believe Colbert is for real.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time Bloviator88.”
“I'm sure her first concussion won't be her last.”
Hellova Stoner on Dec 18, 2012 at 09:54:50
“If she is bound to get a concussion, I would rather see it from this rather than hear about a dead beat parent beating her into one. Kids fall off their bikes, skateboards etc. everyday. Best thing is they get back on and do it all over again. It's called 'being a kid'.
Thanks to Tony for the awesome pic. We needed it right now.”
“Suck on it, media. Pay up or get sued. The Romney campaign has every right to profit off your coverage of them. This is America, remember? Capitalism, remember? You don't pay, you don't play. Now quit your whining and shell out. Damn communists!”
Frickett on Dec 18, 2012 at 10:41:30
“Indeed. Wouldn't it be fun if ALL the media said "No way, Jose. Your campaign pays its own expenses in exchange for coverage -- it's as simple as that." I mean, if candidates feel the need for a gaggle of press following him around 24/7, he should have to pay for it, no?”

“I bet the media is now wishing they grew some and actually called Romney and Ryan out on all those lies instead of remaining silent.”

“Stick it to 'em, Barack. For too long the old have wallowed in their $1600.00 a month social security government giveaways. It's time for seniors to work for a living like the rest of us. Oh, and also too the disabled.”

“You have to be joking. They paid that money our of their paychecks for 20-40 years. It's not free money”
Ecolke on Dec 18, 2012 at 09:18:02
“$1,600 a month? Not unless they were highly paid before they hit retirement.
More like 700-900 for most.”
“And option 1 passes with a vote of 51 to 49 to postpone any discussion or debate until such time that the House passes by a 70% margin a measure to read the minutes of all previous statements by Republican House members going back to the founding of the nation. The only prerequisite will be redirecting all Medicare funds into an account set up by Goldman Sachs and administered by Lloyd Blankfien personally to distribute funds for medical care to Americans 70 and older based solely on Mr. Blankfien's discretion.”
“Yeah, that's the ticket, an allegation. Maybe he wasn't even there. Yeah, that's the ticket, he was at his, uh, his hairdressers getting a wax. Yeah, a wax. He didn't even know this other guy in the car. Yeah, didn't even know him. Yeah.”

“No big deal in Texas. A DUI conviction is a rite of passage here in The Lone Star(beer) State. And intoxication manslaughter? Man, you're in the Ring of Honor in the Coors suite. Besides, he's with Gawd now. Who wouldn't want to be with Gawd?”
“LOL. Legislation designed to fail so these cowards can say at least they tried.”

“Who's the real coward? The guy that wants to try to prevent another Sandy Hook? Or the guy who's willing to look the parents of the Sandy Hook children in the eyes and say "Sorry, the tea-party pays my bills, and they tell me that i need to help them keep their guns."”
