“ Mitt Romney cannot win a Republican primary, period. Reason--the GOP base of evangelicals believe that the Mormon church is a cult and will vote against him for that reason alone. The uneducated, white base of the Republican party is full of fear and are easily exploited.”

I know that James Dobson isn't the only leader of white evangelicals but he came right out and said he'd have no problem supporting Romney during the primaries even though his theology is different.
