I agree with you it about jobs. What is so different about today that was not that way under Reagan is....the kind and quality of jobs in 1983 compared to what we have now, is so totally different. There was a time when the Newspaper had 5 pages of Clerical Jobs and an entire Column dedicated to Manufacturing. I dare anyone...since the 1990's ended, looking for work, to find where and how these jobs are going to come back any time soon.
Let's go back 8 years. I worked for a company with 84 people, and and they had 10 Secretaries, and 1 Receptionist. Currently I work for a company with 60 people, with 2 Secretaries and 1 Receptionist. Bottom line....Employers are making due with LESS workers and because all of us in the workforce are so scared to complain, we work longer hours and weekends to keep up with it. It's going to take a Miracle Worker; NOT a President, to bring the jobs back.”

I do believe that those among us that are more prone to pneumonia because we might have allergies or a compromised immune system, should be more careful during flu season and if it works for you, and it does for me, get vaccinated.”

The poll numbers for Democrats are not really going down because of healthcare, because even my most anal Republican family members agree that reform is needed. The polling on this Administration is going down over job numbers. Like it or not, this President now owns this Economy. You have to lead on these crises, or you LOSE everything in 2010 and 2012.”

“It's all about the 2010 Elections and 2012, Bob. There is a tidal wave in this country to vote out anyone who wants to raise the deficit, and it is gaining traction with the Healthcare Debate. I talk to Republicans here in my "Red State" and the first thing out of their mouth, whether it's about Africa, Healthcare, Job Losses, or any Disaster Overseas, is; "Why should I have to pay for them"? It's ALL about the money, Bob. The sad part is, most of the people who say this, talk about their religion all the time. I refer these people to the line in the Bible about the "Camel trying to get through the Eye of a Needle" -- as to how hard it will be to get to Heaven when anyone is that selfish.
So, If there is a God, I would like everyone to reflect on why they will be voting for Republicans in the 2010 Midterms, when they have done NOTHING for you recently in Congress.”

If a democrat is going to run as a conservative, I would be for letting the true conservative win the seat. When it comes down to the important progressive reforms, the Blue Dogs vote with the conservatives and kill reform. Case in question, look at what is going on with the health care reform? The Blue Dogs are shegging up the whole reform, and pulling down the president and the democratic party in the process and makes the democratic party appear weak and as if they cannot govern and utilize the majority that the electorate gave them to create change. Enough already with the Blue Dogs.”

Sometimes one can be just too busy trying to please everybody, and what happens, like an old Fable I learned as a child, about a Donkey, A Father and His Son, traveling through different towns, when you try to please everyone, you end up in tight races in N.J. and losing VA.
Before the Midterm Elections totally go the other way, and this Country allows older, angry white men and women to vote the Democrats out of Congress, we need to remind the President we elected WHY we did so, and what we expect from working so hard for him. In Obama's particular case, I think Washington D.C. got to him.”
