“Freedom of speech and no censorship are characteristics of very advanced and admirable civilizations and their respect for the arts. The entertainment industry exploits that as if it were a loop-hole. It puts everything at risk. How good can you feel about your contribution to the lowest common denominator when they suck back all the money you've earned in order to do it? Its a complex issue that runs the risk of reactionary political agendas from all sides.”
“I too think the dog was talking to the humans about the baby, more than to the baby as a conversation. And, it seems as though something is wrong and the dog is imploring them to do something about it. Like, he was translating the baby talk to dog speak because the owners have listened to him/her, the dog, before. There is empathy. Its cute he's trying to help his little friend. Hope all turns out well.”

“Yeah. I've seen this before. Except the dog sometimes intentionally translates wrong to incriminate the kid. Those dogs are shifty and not to be trusted. I bet he spent some time in the klink. Shifty dog!”

“Animal testing for a complex disorder like schizophrenia is a strong indicator of fraudulent credentials and findings. Are there not enough mental health patients who could be tested? Do you have to induce a disorder first before you study it? Are you all working on Nazi fellowships, or, what explains your lack of sensitivity towards animals?”
“Hyatts are in the mid-range of hotel where you never know if your housekeeping staff are employees treated like slaves, or, if they know how to welcome you and provide you with the service you require in a pleasant fashion that says, "Hi, I hope you are going to enjoy our place, we would if we were you." Housekeeping is on the front line and guests appreciate good h.r. policies, it shows. No more SLAVES, support the teams.”

“In thirty some years of staying in hotels on business and for pleasure, I have never heard a housekeeping employee utter such a sentence. You have to be kidding.”

“He gave her a fur coat? No true "spiritual" person, including a Scientologist-for-real - meaning, someone who's heart is in the right place but being conned, would ever wear or give fur or support any kind of animal slaughter or abuse. Once your beliefs start making the connection to the meaning of our existence, you treasure animals and only wish to help them.”

“I wouldn't be to harsh about the fur coat.
Back in 1956 by dad was stationed in Greenland and bought me a furcoat along with hat, mittens, and muff. I was the only girl in first grade to have this. PS I attended and ordinary elementary school on the south shore of Long Isand.
Of course today I would NEVER wear a fur, but at that time I was thrilled.”
“Oh, I don't know about this one. It would be pretty difficult to sneak in to a room while the guest was checking out or checked out. Anytime I've lost my keycard I have to produce pic ID before they issue me another one, and lots of other issues. And, the comments that surge immediately into something about a liberal or an Obama voter are idiotic and really, really limited and boring.
Do you not have any thoughts of your own?”

“Not with the express check out, Brenda. Most resorts tell you that if you don't need a receipt. just leave the key card in the room. When the maids start cleaning a floor they often have several doors ajar. If he walked into the room with the card key left behind, all he had to do was call the desk and ask to extend. They do it without even swiping the card key. Heck, they even provide the thief with the name of the last occupant...when you call and say Hi I'm in 523 or whatever they are taught to call you by name. With that bit of info, you even know the name to sign on the charge slips. It certainly requires a thief to be cool and brazen but I guess desperation lends those qualities.”
