“What's amazing to me, on the other hand, is how Charlie Brown is always willing to kick that football no matter how many times Lucy pulls it away. I guess that Sh!t sanchwich starts to taste good over time.”

“The more I read about pot, the more impressed I am with it's uses (fiber, paper, medicine, food). Our drug policy is insane. Weed is childs play next to alcohol and tobacco. There's no reason it shouldn't be legal.”

“Leave it to liberals to look for a fine-toothed comb when you need a sledgehammer. Ron Paul's our best chance to wind the bankrupt management class enough to make them so afraid of the people they actually listen.

“Destroying the government is not the answer...without government, you have anarchy, pure and simple.”

LeoMarvin replied on Dec 28, 2007 at 05:54:23

“But his approach to getting control of the government away from the corporations is to kill the government. I'm sorry, but if the cure for my headache is a lobotomy, I think I'll keep the headache, thank you. I just can't be sure I won't need that brain again someday, and I'm certain we're going to need the federal government.

Return the fortunes of African Americans, women, the disabled and the elderly to the tender mercies of state legislatures engineered by Tom Delay? I don't think so. Ron Paul's well-intentioned vision for America would set back the progressive gains of the 20th century by 100 years.”

“Paul has said the money should have been sent directly to state and local govt. and the people, rather than FEMA.”

Steamboater replied on Dec 26, 2007 at 22:13:20

“Bullshit. I saw Paul interviewed and when asked if he thought New Orleans deserved federal monies after Katrina he wouldn't answer. He went round and round the question but never gave a direct answer. A tornado wipes out an American town and you can kiss any money from the federal government goodbye if Paul were to become president. He's a damn Libertarian and that means they've got theirs and screw everyone else. The jerk hasn't a chance of winning anything so he can go back home to Texas and get all those federal grants for his districts like he's done continuously the hypocrite.”

I don't hate Ron Paul. I think he is an honest man and he has integrity. I also think that he is just dead wrong on just about every important issue except Iraq war.

Democrats who are impressed by Ron Paul have not thought through what they want and what Ron Paul offers.”

UNCLEJOE replied on Dec 26, 2007 at 21:14:26

“Registering as a Republican to vote for Ron Paul is the best way to throw away your vote.
But then if Hillary or Obama is the Democratic candidate, than we ll lose.”

RebelPatriot replied on Dec 26, 2007 at 20:50:44

“Congratulations and Thank You.

The ONLY way to win is to go against the MSM and vote for the candidate they don't want you to want.

There has been hundreds of millions spent to steer the public to supporting the candidates of the elites.

The only TRUE choices not rigged by the system are Kucinich and Paul. And Paul is the only one at present with enough support to stage a credible threat to the powers-that-really-be. Hence the turning up the attack dog heat from both the phony left-phony right.”

“I disagree with Ron Paul about many things, but I'd still rather vote for him than any of these sorry Democrats. Besides, the Republican establishment loathes Ron Paul.”

Galvestonians for Dr. Ron Paul replied on Dec 08, 2007 at 09:23:20

“He has beaten them 10 consecutive times in our district..
It is written 97% of his campaign contributions come from individuals and NOT big oil corporations.
The next closet is Sheila Jackson-Lee with 67% coming from individuals.
This man goes up against the neocons and uses the only true power that can beat them...And he does EVERY TIME.

We know he is not bought and he is honest and we trust him.
He would not be elected in this left leaning district if he werent.

The neos spent a million dollars to try to unseat him in 02.
They approached the only democratic challenger and offered him a platform with the republican party, and said he would run unopposed.
The only thing is, Dr. Paul did not agree to this and beat the democrat turned republican with 65% of the vote and has placed both parties in the corner for many years to come.
He completely embarrassed them and Galveston refuses to talk about it.
They were SHOCKED and MESMERIZED by his campaign strategy and even Karl Rove, while still in Texas has said their party underestimated him.

It was a win for freedom and less government.

He will not take pork for our Port of Galveston.
But he secured $60 million in private loans to help our government keep functioning after a hurricane.
Next year, he will help secure $100 million more.
He says GALVESTON will NEVER wait for the federal government to help us.
He has been saying what happened in NO is going to happen to Galveston, if we do not do something...He has said this for years.
After Katrina, our city council woke up and joined with Dr. Paul to secure our freedom as a US city.
We will ask for no federal help.
We will control all monies spent.
We will oversee all rebuilding.
We will chose our local contractors to do the work!
We will show we need no federal help and they are not welcome here.”
