What Color Is The Sky In Palin's World?
Commented Nov 24, 2009 at 20:21:34 in Politics
“I seriously can't think of a politician with less regard for the truth than Sarah Palin. She's lies about EVERYTHING. What color is the sky in Palin's world? I don't know, but she'd tell you sky was neon pink if she thought that it would win her some political points and the media would smile and nod.”

Huckabee: Palin Has More Experience Than Obama (VIDEO)
Commented Nov 24, 2009 at 19:10:36 in Politics
“Except... ignoring for a moment how much experience being governor of Alaska for 2.5 years is worth, Huckabee is talking about a hypothetical 2012 matchup in which Obama will have had 4 years experience of actually being president. Which would make him the most experienced person eligible for the job unless Bush 41 or Jimmy Carter decide to throw their hats into the ring.
Secondly, the issue isn't so much Palin's experience, it's the fact that she appears to be completely ignorant on ALL the national issues. The next time I hear her make a substantive policy point will be the first.”

Health Care Rationing: Why the "R" Word is a Red Herring
Commented Nov 23, 2009 at 01:44:16 in Politics
“I couldn't agree with your more.
Unfortunately, there's a whole cottage industry dedicated to insuring we don't have rational conversations on a whole host of issues, from rationing and healthcare reform to global warming to fixing the economy. Whether these people are motivated financially or politically the Glenn Becks and Sarah Palins of the world will continue to throw out red herring after red herring to prevent the possible of an adult conversation on these serious issue. And unfortunately "death panels" make a more salacious story for our news media than a serious discussion on what levels of rationing are acceptable.”

Ralph Lawler, Michael Smith VIDEO: Clippers Announcers' Controversial Comments About Hamed Haddadi
Commented Nov 22, 2009 at 23:36:35 in Sports
“I don't think they should have been suspended. Let's break it down.
They start out by saying he looks like Borat. So what. Announcer say players look like pop culture figures all the time. Maybe that's grounds for an apology but not suspension.
Secondly they make a stupid stereotype based on one pass. Ignorant, yes, but grounds for suspension? no. Again, announcers do this all the time. Anybody who watches basketball has heard countless stereotypes about European players. A suspension seems a little much in my opinion.”

“Looking like Borat= Looking like American idea of a smelly, cartoonish foreigner. He doesn't even look CLOSE to Borat or Sacha Baren Cohen (unless you're from the racist "all foreigners look the same" mentality).
ONE stupid stereotype of ANY ethnic player deserves suspension. Since they're countless, show me the "European" comments. And if you can even come up with one, I'll agree that the commentator should have been suspended for that too.
I swear, sports commentators can be some of the least intelligent broadcasters on television. The morons deserve MORE than a one game suspension.”

“What a #$%$/ Who ever said the public option would offer free insurance????? That's such a red herring. Further, do you know why the public option insurance might possibly be more expensive, because so called conservatives have limited it to such a small slice of the population (i.e. the poorest and sickest). Secondly IF the public option has higher premiums than how will it cost the government money? That would be the whole point of the high premiums so that it doesn't cost the government money. You can't have it both ways Joe.”

What I Like (And Hate) About Sarah Palin
Commented Nov 20, 2009 at 14:44:19 in Politics
“Virtually everyone has SOME admirable qualities. A violent criminal may be good at setting goals or paying attention to detail. So yes, there are some likeable things about Sarah Palin, just as I'm sure there are some likeable qualities to Michele Bachmann and Glenn Beck. But typically, I look at the whole package, and when examining what Palin has presented to the public the dominant traits I see are that of a petty, ignorant, misleading quitter. To me that far outweighs the fact that she's protective of her kids and that she has doggedness to stick to her "facts" long after they've been exposed as false.”

Palin Confuses Iraq And Iran In Hannity Interview (VIDEO)

“I'll actually let this one slide. As dumb as Palin is, I've got to assume that she knows the difference between Iraq and Iran, everybody at one point has said one thing while clearly meaning another. Now on the substance of what she said, I'd like to hear her ideas on convincing Russia and China to agree to tougher sanctions on Iran, and I wonder if she thinks her homey shtick is what our allies are waiting for to convince them to jump on board.”
