What Do Michelle Obama, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and Tila Tequila Have in Common?

“Gosh, it'd be so nice for this much passion to be expressed for humans. With respect to flaunting wealth Russ, a bit of hypocrisy seems to come from celebs who are the purest examples of indulgence and lack of thinking outside of their own beings. It's interesting animals would even get a second thought from such people.”

“Now, why would it be more altrustic to fight for your "own beings?" Which, by the way, most people do. It seems pretty simple to fight for those who look just like you, and much harder and more altruistic to fight for those who don't look like you, who can never thank you, and who are suffering terribly for very trivial reasons (like fashion and taste preferences).”

“I thought many of the LGBT community stopped supporting Obama when he asked Rev Warren to pray at the inauguration. Remember, they stopped supporting him before he officially became the president. Many in this group continue to disrepect the President and demand he keep promises. Unbelievable this group.”

Conservative Campaign Against Steele Growing
Commented Mar 13, 2009 at 19:33:14 in Politics
“A big comedy act. And the Dems better work it on both fronts. One hand Obama/Biden and cabinet handling what needs to be handled and the other the Dems helping out the Repubs with the circular fire. Steele is just the right man for the Repugs - that party picking him just another sign they haven't a clue.”
Michael Steele's Heavy Handed Hip Hop
Commented Mar 04, 2009 at 14:42:22 in Politics
“Steele's words, his actions and attitude go hand in hand with the willful ignorance of the Republican party. When I listened to him after he was appointed to his position I had to laugh because it was a 'He still doesn't get it' moment. I'm not even offended by his foray into hip hop because it's pure comedy.”

Commented Jan 10, 2009 at 13:36:14 in Politics
“This type of ignorance coupled with the victimization syndrome that the gay community has been using only amounts to whining. No answer can be given on whether a relationship existed between the black and gay community so that votes could be counted upon. No answer can be given on what outreach the gay community did along with the black community to be sure that votes could be counted for. No answer can be given on what the gay community actually did in their fight against Prop-8 outside of relegating responsibilities on other groups to attain victory. It looks like when the gay community has no leaders, no foundation they look towards the outside for people to carry them on their backs. When all else failed, they complained, pointed fingers that should have been pointed inwards and showed their own impotent rage that they somehow failed to show with passion during this fight against 8.”

“Gavin Newsom's voice was used in Pro-prop 8 radio spots. When he officiated gay marriages he yelled ' Whether you like it or not... it's going to happen'. The pro-prop 8 people used that line in their ads to spur the anti-gay marriage sentiment as if he was saying it was inevitable. Do you get it? Goodness. His voice did more harm than anything, I guess you aren't from the SF Bay area so you have no idea what you're talking about and it's not surprising really.”

“From an outsider's point of view it seems that if this truly were the case, there would be a Palestinian state. With the US's backing the tried mantra of 'Israel not existing' will never come true so I'm baffled by this premise that somehow the Israeli's actually care more for the Palestinian people and actually even know why they would perhaps be upset with Israel. I will agree that the Palestinian people are used as props and their cause exploited by their Arab neighbors, but I somehow cannot agree with the Israeli side of the argument. It always rings hollow to me in terms of their justification for all their actions in which they are somehow never, ever wrong.”
