Fox News Poll: Do You Think Obama Is Still Smoking?

Commented Jun 11, 2009 at 17:20:32 in Politics

“So FOX News has a poll questioning if President Obama is still smoking. Did FOX News have a poll asking if people thought that George W. Bush was still doing cocaine in the White House? Maybe a bump or two in the rose garden or some fat lines at Camp David with the twins and Tom Delay?”

Oh and President Obama got more Time covers because he was and is a political phenom, attractive and the first Black president. Wake up.”

“NO NO NO! We do not need to nationalize the banking industry any more than we need to privatize Social Security! These damn Republicans are a trip. They moan and groan constantly about "keeping Government out of Americans lives" but turn around and want the Government to run all banks?!% Hell no thank you. Rich neo-cons and multi-millionaire Republicans want to control Social Security through privatization, want to control the banks, want school vouchers to take away funds from public schools so the money can go to private, pseudo-racist "Christian" academy's, let veterans suffer, send 18 year olds to die in a war started over blatant lies of WMD's so billions can be made by stealing the oil of a sovereign nation and want multi-billion dollar no bid contracts for their buddy, corporate campaign contributors. These un-Americans wave the American flag in our face and thump their Bibles at us while serving up that typical, sheepish, evil "Republican Grin". The GOP is full of ignorant racists, homo-phobes and elitist. God bless America and save us from the Republicans!”

This idea strikes me as a really bad idea, and the more thought I give it, the worse it looks.

Oh, and the vast majority of the "18 million Hillary voters" (a phrase repeated ad nauseum, gotta say) have gladly embraced Obama already. The myth of 18 million Democrat voters (that's VOTERS, not WOMEN voters, let's not now say all 18 million were women!) gladly rushing to embrace an old-school politician and his socially far-right Neocon VP pick, who'd do their best to strip women of much of the social gains over the past few decades just BECAUSE she's a woman? “I am on record saying a long time ago that Wesley Clark would have been an excellent choice for Al Gore if he had run in the 2008 contest. This was a while before Obama had announced his bid. I think Clark would be an excellent Vice President. If not that a great candidate to head Homeland Security. Actually they should get rid of Homeland Security and make the FBI and CIA work the way they should be working. Regardless, Clark is more than excellent as a VP contender. Check out some of his speeches on YouTube.

He never spoke ill of Obama even though he was a Clinton supporter. He has excellent military credentials and he too was against going into Iraq. He minimizes McCain's military background as well. Sure McCain was a P.O.W. for years and God bless him for serving. But McCain never led troops or headed up an operation as Clark did. “Im a 37yo blk male in Upstate, SC. I voted for Clinton in 92. In the winter/spring of that year I was actually an intern in the Bush 41 White House (Office of Presidential Boards & Commissions). Anyway, I'm fearful of Hillary being on the ticket. First of all I think she is the epitome of the "old" thinking of Washington politics.

The biggest strike against her is that she authorized BushCo to invade Iraq which was the biggest scam in U.S. history. Second, both she and Bill got down right dirty and desperately ugly when it came to comments made towards the juggernaut known as Obama. It was insulting and unbecoming to those who not only genuinely supported them (Clinton's) but propped them up during their administration.

If she is on the ticket, not only will she and Bill be a liability but I think Obama's life will be in great jeopardy. I don't know if he would even make it to Denver, must less the White House. I hate to be a pessimist but I was right when it came to WMD's and Iraq. Were you? Or were you a blind patriot, confounded by 9/11?”

Obama never had to actually give a vote on the Iraqi invasion, for he was not in office when the vote was rendered His constant presentation on his anti-Iraq is retroactive..and easy to administer , given that there is no courage in hindsight, as it is always 20/20.

The biggest strike against Obama is his overly-congenial relationship with Corporate America. He is way too compliant. Hillary's problem is her egregiuos past and polarizing personality . Together THEY WILL TAKE the WH. Period. To suggest anything otherwise is ludicrous.

Obama will be susceptible to attempts on his life, because he is seemingly so outside the D.C. mainstream. Hillary won't get him killed, per se, but I do understand this angle, as I believe LBJ was responsible for masterminding the death of JFK. he was the one that changed the original venue from Miami to Dallas that fateful November day.”
