“When are we going to stop the racism? Black men with grills and white men with black trench coats and piercings. It's all racism and yet we get mad at each other for stereotyping one another. I would imagine that Dr. Martin Luther King would be so sadly disappointed that all these years later we are still judging a man by the color of his skin and not by the content of his character. I can only say that the Lt. had NO RIGHT to do what she did. But not all cops are bad (again another stereotype). I'm married to an officer and he believes in upholding the law and doesn't consider himself above the law. The streets can make some calloused over time just as SOME Doctors and nurses also become calloused on their jobs. We are all human beings who have feelings and we need to stop grouping everyone in one catagory based on their skin color, their choices to express themselves, their sexuality, their profession.
Before being so quick to say this guy was bad because he was wearing a grill consider this....What if he were your child? Just because he was behind on child support doesn't give anyone the right to assualt him under any circumstances. Jail time is the punishment for failure to pay child support...ASSUALT was not!
And btw....I'm a white woman who lives in the south who believes in equal rights for all.”

“Thank you. Most police are decent people, and I respect them. But our prison systems are a mess. There is no excuse for this. Wake Up America!”
