“Set a date... perhaps November 5th? Political meaning, and enough time to spread the word.”

“I'm BOYCOTTING on 9/11/'09.

If a consensus comes up with an officially agreed upon date, I'll do it then, also.”

“Is this Obama's first test? Does he believe that the President, in some special cases, can be above the law? If so, where does that leave 'We The People'?”

“"Will A Vow Of Poverty Fill The Void In My Soul?" - Perhaps you're the only one that can really answer this question?

Sometimes I have the habit of seeing only what needs to be accomplished, without appreciating what's already been done. You've done much more than most of us, but only you can know what's in your heart.

Maybe it's really a question of 'how honest are you're willing to be with yourself?'”

“What is known is defined in terms of what is not known and what has been done can be defined in terms of that left undone.

There is logic in your words.”

“What next? The Al Gore/Zell Miller ticket? Please. Clinton couldn't do more for the republican party if she was 'officially' running as one of them.”

“I can't tell you the best way.

Like a drive to Disneyland, the route is different for each of us, and I'm no good at directions ;)

I can recommend a recent book by the Dalai Lama, that's been unfortunately titled: "How to see yourself as you really are".

The title sounds like a self-help book, but it's actually the closest thing to a step-by-step instructional manual for someone wanting to learn meditation. Not a bad refresher either.

Good luck on your path. Sounds like you already started..”

“Edwards' took public financing, Obama and Hillary did not.

This is when, and how, politicians are bought and sold. It's how elections are won and lost before they're even held.

Edwards' needs volunteers. Go help save this country, while there's still a chance. That would be "progressive".

“After more than 20 years in the blue-ist part of Texas, I'm sorry to say that I have to agree with you.

People say they'll vote for Obama, but racism runs deep, especially in the south. There's no telling what they'll do once they're in the booth.

Besides that, he's still green. Green's not good, ever. Especially when there are other more experienced choices, that aren't as bad as Mrs. Clinton.

Speaking of which, you're correct: Hillary will bring out more republican voters than any of their own candidates will. Which is amazing, since she practically is one of them.

That brings me to Dennis. Poor Dennis. As much as I like Kucinich, and think he'd be 100% for the good of the country, well...even I'm a realist.

That leaves one, Edwards is it. The only one left I wouldn't have to 'hold my nose' to vote for. A proven track record, and electability without sacrificed principles.

But can he pull it off? More importantly, can we afford for him not to?

“People don't seem to remember just how disastrous the Clinton years were: NAFTA, China's 'Most Favored Nation' trading status (even after Tiananmen Square), Democratic losses in Congress.

As far as I'm concerned, her husband was the best Republican president of the last 40 years, and is responsible for setting the stage for the current 'Decider'. Bill's a moderate republican, but a republican none the less.

No some want to return to those days?...and somehow thru his wife?...Please.

As for Obama...I like a lot of what he says, I wonder if he really means it? He hasn't been around near long enough to have proven that he does. Sorry, but that sounds a lot like the last guy who got the job, and we all see how well that's working out.

Edwards or Kucinich. I know they're both long shots, but they may be the only shot this country has left.

Otherwise, prepare to see America return to the 'Hoovervilles' and 'Robber Barons' of the 1930's. We're already well on our way.

“John Edwards is the best choice for the general election. Obama and Clinton are too likely to face high negatives in Nov. Edwards is sthe one candidate that the republicans are afraid of.”
