“I just have one question about this: Why would any American soldier leave his rifle behind, and just go off on his own in Afghanistan? No matter how much he may have hated the Army, he had to realize that Army life would be preferable to being captured, tortured, and god knows what else.
It just indicates to me that this guy may have just gone off his rocker.”

“Good point. He needs our help and should receive it ASAP.”
“I'd like to see them try and impeach him over this. In fact, I'd LOVE it.”

“The Tea Party has been calling for Barack Obama's removal from office since the day he was first inaugurated. If they believe he violated the law and do not impeach him now then we all know they are lying to their constituents all along.”
“I just went over to the Voice of Men's website, and found that five of the scheduled speakers for the conference are, in fact, women.”

“Not shocking. After all, lots of money to be made from the haters. Besides, look at all the female repubs.... the brainwashed among us.”

“We never said women are always right; we simply believe we deserve equal rights and opportunities.”

“Which means what exactly? Women have been brainwashed into believing they are inferior. Sadly some women hate themselves and therefore hate other women. These same misguided females will vote and or work AGAINST their own self interests. This news you bring is hardly surprising. Some slaves just don't want to leave the plantation.”
“Let me just try to divert from the politics and just talk about my late uncle, Wilbur Raffensperger. In 1943, "Uncle Wib" as we called him, was in the U.S. Army Air Forces, stationed in the Mediterranean. He flew a B-17 called the "Roughneck" and was in some of the first air raids on Naples and Rome.
He flew 900 hours, 300 of them were in combat. In his first action, he recalled thinking that the German fighters going after him looked "pretty." But after a while, he lost his innocent perspective on things.
His worst mission was when his plane was hit so hard that his co-pilot was killed right beside him, and two of the engines were hit. He himself was wounded, but still was able to fly back to base. He earned a Distinguished Flying Cross for his action, as well as a Purple Heart.
He made the sufficient quota of missions and was rotated back to the States, where he was an instructor for trainees getting ready to be sent overseas to be part of the missions over Germany.
He lived to be in his eighties, and is now buried at Ft. Indiantown Gap. You could say he was lucky, but many thousands like him were not.
It is for him, my father, and the thousands that didn't return that we observe this day.
“All I can say, is that if Democrats don't turn out in strength this year, especially after all the rubbish that the GOP have pulled, then we frankly would deserve to lose.”

“I agree, Todd. Never have so many issues been presented on which Dems can run. Regressives have insulted and alienated every demographic except for old white guys who can't leave home without their gun.”
“These clowns always make such general accusations, but never back them up with examples or specific arguments. Just HOW does this administration "embolden" Islamic terrorists? Is blowing them to bits with drones "empowering" them?
I guess you can say that Navy Seal Team Six "emboldened" the heck out of Bin Laden, didn't they?”
