Famous for Being Famous: The Sarah Palin Show Is On the Air

Commented Nov 19, 2009 at 06:37:24 in Politics

“I was telling him he's picking and choosing which loans are better. Both were needed. He's no economic expert.

I think Bush had a surplus when he entered office and turned that surplus into a 1.3 trillion dollar deficit.”

“Yes. Nobody wants the stimulus money for their cities, that's why its all being turned down. It isn't helping jobs or infrastructure. If it isn't helping people like you, it must be bad.

But spending on two wars was A OK with you. And Dubya taking a surplus from Clinton and turning it into a 1.3 trillion dollar deficit set such a good example, we didn't want McCain in office!”

“It's sad that all you can fall back on is "the other guy did it, too!" Do the math: when Bush left, debt was 10 Trillion. 10 months later it's 12 Trillion. One year from now it is projected to be 14 Trillion. And that is without healthcare or Cap and Trade.”

“I agree with you. It's pretty shocking to read some of these comments on here. Can you imagine the "real" outrage if we had sunk into a depression! He fixed that it was the most important thing to date. It wasn't even on the radar for most of the campaign, until last Sept., so it wasn't one of his campaign promises. Big deal, I guess.”

“My bet--stay tuned--is that his actions (deficit spending, allowing tax increases, etc) have worsened the recession and may provoke a depression--but it will be a few years down the road. The country is too strong to be destroyed quite that fast.”

Some people are acting like iconoclast teenagers upset with their parents because the car they were given on their 16th birthday isn't cool enough.

And where's that pony they're owed?!!?

Some liberals are acting like teenagers, and their anti-authority complexes are going to destroy their own agenda.”

“They don't have the manpower to maintain ten levels of the OS and all its components. Of course they want you to upgrade if you want a fix. They maintain about three levels at a time before the oldest loses support as a new level is announced.

As for the world switcing over to smaller platforms, wasn't that already tried before? Remember the mantra, "the death of the mainframe" in the 90's? Well, it didn't happen and that's IBM's fault? How? People came back to the mainframe because the smaller platforms weren't good enough and it took too many people to maintain them! Why not switch back if mainframes are better?

You have no reason to hate IBM. They didn't cause the crash on wall street and they don't give outrageous bonuses. That's where your anger should be directed. Wallstreet.”

“You are taking one example such as ACORN and using it as proof that FOX is right about everything. That's crazy. They make so much stuff up. I watched Dick Morris say to Sean Hannity one night, that with health care reform, Obama would take away from Medicare and give it to illegal immigrants. Sean said "Oh it will" and Morris nodded his head. You could tell even they didn't believe this, but they put it out there to scare the old people. It was a lie. Every time I turn on Fox, they are lieing about something and if you aren't well informed enough to catch it, you'll believe it too.

Spin left, spin right, is not the same as lieing.”

“Thanks Joe. I'm sure Obama really appreciates it after getting beat up by the crazy Right. While I hoped Chicago would get the games too, it seemed Rio would be favored since South America has never had the games before. I'm happy for them.

Now, would you do us all a favor and write something about Fox. Get them to stop making up all those stories and spreading lies. I just read something in our local paper in the"letters to the editor" section, and this guy was going crazy about how Fox has it all right and the other networks won't report on the same stuff Fox reports on and why weren't we all watching Fox! Of course the other networks won't report the stories Fox reports on. They're made up!”

Ken Nemeth replied on Oct 03, 2009 at 23:13:31

“Really? Stories like the ACORN sting in 4 American cities? That story got NO TRACTION in any of the leftie MSM. Fox News was the only major news outlet that carried it. The NYT ignored it for weeks and when it did deign to stoop to the level of the little folks it imposed it's own narrative spin on it (Republicans doing anything they can to get Obama), rathen than simply reporting what O'Keefe and Giles did. To their credit, NYT ombudsman Clark Hoyt had a well-reasoned, well-written piece on it straight up admitting that the NYT blew it.

While Fox absolutely goes over the top on a lot of stuff, if the leftie MSM would actually TRY to report things as objectively as they claim to there would be no need for Fox news because there would actually be balance. Additionally, as usual, folks like yourself can't resist inserting hyperbole of your own. "Other networks won't report the stories Fox reports on because they're made up"? While Fox may spin, you do your argument a lot of damage to pull their reporting across the line and go right to fabrication. It's just not true. Fox may spin right, but the leftie MSM certainly spins left.”

“We spent our way out of the Great Depression with WWII. What do you propose Obama do with the mess Bush left him?

As for taxing the wealthy more, it worked for Clinton. Bush used up that surplus now didn't he. Why doesn't that make you angry enough to use blanket statements?”

AndyWright68 replied on Jul 29, 2009 at 10:08:28

“You're a little confused. Taxing the wealthy had nothing to do with the surpluses during the Clinton years. The dotcom was peaking and he couldn't pursue the debt he wanted due to a resistant congress. Not to mention that the President has no control over our economy except for creating debt. Presidents can't stimulate an economy or control it. They could however stop spending.”
