Okay, then we'll raise minimum wage so the government doesn't have to pay as much so they can live a less-impoverished life.
"Don't raise minimum wage, it hurts businesses' freedom!"
Then we gotta increase government load to help impoverished people, dummy.
"Don't increase my taxes! Lower them instead!"
Where do you think the money to fund these programs comes from? Magic faerie dust? If you're not paying for something, then there's no money to keep doing it, so everything has to change to accommodate the vacuum it makes.
At this point, anything is better than trickle down voodoo economics that have never been substantiated in the past 30+ years, I'm sorry.
I'm for a higher, progressive tax on people that relative to their purchasing power. If you wanna stop paying capital gains taxes, then take a bigger hit tax percentage wise to cover the bases.
It's freaking math for goodness sake, numbers don't lie.”

“Isn't it strange, when money is given out, how many people come out of the woodwork, wanting to spend other people's money? It is called legal plunder.”

“Dont you think its a matter of someones CHOICE to stay poor or not...to live off the Dole or not...If you dont understand that raising the minimum wage hurts EVERYONE...then go take economics 101 or run a business yourself.”
Meyer v. Nebraska, 262 U.S. 390, 399 (1923): The right “to marry, establish a home and bring up children” is a central part of liberty protected by the Due Process Clause.
Skinner v. Oklahoma ex rel. Williamson, 316 U.S. 535, 541 (1942): Marriage “one of the basic civil rights of man,” “fundamental to the very existence and survival of the race.”
Griswold v. Connecticut, 381 U.S. 479, 486 (1965): “We deal with a right of privacy older than the Bill of Rights—older than our political parties, older than our school system. Marriage is a coming together for better or for worse, hopefully enduring, and intimate to the degree of being sacred. It is an association that promotes a way of life, not causes; a harmony in living, not political faiths; a bilateral loyalty, not commercial or social projects. Yet it is an association for as noble a purpose as any involved in our prior decisions.”
Loving v. Virginia, 388 U.S. 1, 12 (1967): “The freedom to marry has long been recognized as one of the vital personal rights essential to the orderly pursuit of happiness by free men.”
Moore v. City of East Cleveland, 431 U.S. 494, 499 (1977) (plurality): “[W]hen the government intrudes on choices concerning family living arrangements, this Court must examine carefully the importance of the governmental interests advanced and the extent to which they are served by the challenged regulation.””
“This doesn't even make sense. Every skill set according to "the market" is valuable. Why? Because people have the ability to do things, whether it be manual labor or anything else.
The "little guy" is struggling because, low and behold, the "trickle down econ" doesn't work. The ultra rich have lied and said that if governments foot the bill, they're going to create jobs (despite the fact that they don't, consumers create them instead).
Millionaires aren't protecting their wealth by removing it from the money supply to offshore accounts, they're defrauding the system to get a free ride.
“It is a sin for me to hire anyone that isn't white.
It is a sin for me to provide insurance to anyone that isn't white.
It is a sin for me to provide insurance to anyone who doesn't match up with my sexual preferences, as they should just die.
PROTECT MY RELIGIOUS LIBERTY TO DISCRIMINATE!”

“Ok, please offer the religious doctrine that expresses those beliefs.”

That is more prophetic than one can even remotely imagine. It seems to me that conservatives embrace what I term a GOP trademarked God, whereby he when he endorses specific things such as slavery in the bible, it leaves them without guilt, without condemnation. And trust me: As a Believer, I KNOW! They justify nearly every single action they engage in.
This action here, is yet another attempt, a last gasp if you will, for those in that demographic to preserve their system of belief while cramming it down the throats of others. THIS though is not the Jesus I know nor have met. And while many progressives believe I believe in a fairy tale, (which is okay because it is their right), the one thing I don't see progressives doing is "using" God to promote their agenda, however ill-informed it to be. I have never once made an attempt to shove my personal beliefs down another's throat, and refuse to do so now. I wish I knew how to fan you with this new platform. I have fanned you and would be deeply honored to have you follow back!”
“Nobody cares that you want to punish A&E, the mere fact that you espouse that puts you in camp with the racists and homophobes that are like Phil Robertson and then proclaim innocence because you "love" people.”

“A&E is already feeling the result as their viewership is down 6.4 million already and falling! Just like Chic Fil-A....the GLAAD attack on them resulted in lines 200 people deep at their stores and the best year ever! LOL”
“Well, if you think a mathematically impossible thing can happen, like uh, the world flooding, then ya, that's a problem.”

“it's not a problem to learn it. I learned about many religions and their beliefs. made me more rounded. And btw, you're taking a very small minority in one single state and using that as an excuse for the statistics in this article? thats hilarious”
