Big Three Lobby Capitol Hill Again Today Amidst Fleeting Chances For Auto Bailout

“An observation on the Motor City situation: The current situation was predictable. The inflated price of gas and oil the last few months set the stage for the US automakers to require assistance. US automakers make null profits on economy cars.

Suddenly in the last couple of weeks the price of gas at the pumps has plummeted!

The American car and truck industry needs some help, The current outgoing administration and the artificial manipulation and in-house extortion measures for oil and gas pricing during this time is directly related to the predicament of the American car industry and the need for a US car manufacturers bailout. (Detroit football is on the same chart),

Regarding Home Depot and their management profile, they have reached a pinnicle in the home store industry, yet they are secretly known on the street as a counterfit money-laundering operation. Long before Home Depot existed there was Rickel's a local, small chain of home stores from which the concept for Home Depot was extracted. Rickel's has long since been out-of-business.”

“The discussion regarding gambling and tennis is not suprising. Referenced article in http://sportbusiness.com regarding the popularity of gambling in tennis is cited below:

The term "Globalization of Sports" is often thrown around certain sports web blogs and has been applied to the introduction of NFL football games in Europe. The term is deceptive and is the basis for the expansion of certain network sports betting schemes and ultimately the expansion of sports competition and match/bet fixing. NFL football games are now regularly scheduled in London and previously Mexico City. The San Diego Chargers play the New Orleans Saints this year in London. The British bookies are now making a buck off of our American sports.”

Chris Matthews Gushes: "Obama Comes Along, And...This Is The New Testament"

Commented Feb 11, 2008 at 12:39:39 in Media

“The abundance of comments regarding Matthews and his biases and Obama frenzy is certainly noticible. I stopped watching his news program a while ago. The timing of Matthews going off the deep end on television has increased since the morning Imus program was cancelled. I am not sure if there is a connection or if it is just coincidence. My main complaint, otherwise, is that the Pat "The Rat" Buchanan seems to have usurped the entire prime time news analyst spot. I hit the mute button when Pat the Rat is commenting which seems to be 30 times every hour on every political issue.”

“The New Testament? The United States Constitution was founded on the basis of separation of church and state. Mr. Matthews is evolving into a theocrat.

I have been appalled at the fervor circulating about the Obama campaign. In Connecticut no information was openly issued regarding locations for primary voting by the CT Democratic Party. There was no follow-up and it seemed this was selective against Hillary Clinton supporters.

In the Presidential election in 2004 it was the fervor of the conservative voters against gay civil rights issues that drove voters to the polls to sway the election results in Ohio, and ultimately the overall election, itself. What is the issue this time? For Democrats, such as myself, it is not the gender, religion, or race card, so I guess Mr. Matthews is defining the new fervor campaign as the New Testament, masqued theocracy hidden in the dictatorial oratory as the contemporary election card. Theocracy-baiting...”

“Perhaps Chris Matthews could have chosen his words better, but what I am hearing him say is simply "this is GOOD NEWS" like gospel, like Godspell. The situation is not hopeless. Evil (which is intelligence recruited into the service of malice) need not prevail. We have to move a mountain, but yes we can. But there will be blood, there will be sweat, and there will be tears. We have locked the doors and secured the shutters only to realize we have locked the thief within our house.”
Huckabee Goes Into Caucuses

Huckabee Goes Into Caucuses "Kneeling To God"

Commented Jan 02, 2008 at 09:39:34 in Politics

“The Huckabee-Chuck Norris thing truly amazes me. Recently, Huckabee was quoted after a bird hunt outing that the dead birds he shot "sacrificed themselves for the campaign". Hunting for sport is not something that deserves a pat on the back.

The righteous George W has committed the same offense by invoking the name of God during campaigns and when grandstanding his wayward political agendas.

For Huckabee and George W's info - God used to work at the Shaw's Supermarket in Westport, CT collecting shopping carriages in the store parking lot and wheeling them back into the store. I hope they are not dissapointed by his true identity.”

Mike169 replied on Jan 02, 2008 at 10:11:11

“If God is working collecting shopping carts it is a tribute to the ability of the powers that be (obviously not God) to turn us into a low paying service economy.”

“The timing of Benazir Bhutto's assassination creates an untimely, and unfortunate diversion. Political discussion regarding the political beneficiaries of the fall-out from this tragedy leads to a conclusion, i.e., those that benefit from manipulating elections, including our 2007 Presidential election are not the Democratic candidates, but the trifecta currently occupying the White House, Bush, Cheney, and Dr. Rice. An Asian Tiger rose for the people of Pakistan....”
