However, the tax collection for the new law starts immediately. Well what about all those people without health issurance right now - they're gonna die, right? Wrong - because B. hospital ERs are mandated (Fed Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act of 1985) to treat despite ability to pay. If these politicians are so worried about people being uninsured then why do both parties have a bill that will leave out millions of already uninsured ( http://prescriptions.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/11/04/budget-monitor-questions-impact-of-gop-health-bill/ ) It just tells me that its all about politics/power/and money. So leave Lieberman alone. He's doing the right thing.”
