“every coal fired power plant in the US could close today and the effect on climate would be zero”

“40% of our emissions gone, and you think it would have no effect.
you are not very bright.”

“I believe that is the point. By eliminating the mining of fossil fuels, CO2 levels will freeze where they now are, and the climate will be given a fighting chance to stabilize. The issue arises when continued fossil fuel mining is permitted, thus increasing the levels of atmospheric CO2 and worsening climate change.
A sustainable Earth can be found in renewable energy and renewable fuels. Specifically, green hydrogen fuel (H2) is manufactured by combining water with surplus renewable electricity from wind, solar, and other sources. Green ammonia (NH3) fuel is produced by combining both water and air with surplus renewable electricity. Green hydrogen gas can cheaply power all of our cars, green hydrogen liquid can cheaply power all of our jetliners, and green ammonia liquid can cheaply power all of our big rig trucks.
Fossil fuels can be obsoleted entirely. By tying more and more renewable electricity resources into the power grid, local power plants can be tasked to manufacture green hydrogen when surplus renewable electricity is available. When the green hydrogen storage tanks at the plant are full, green ammonia can then be manufactured and stored cheaply for months. Green hydrogen can fuel the power plant's electric generators for hours and days, and green ammonia can fuel the power plant's electric generators for weeks and months, navigating through the peak heating demands of winter and peak cooling demands of summer with ease.
Coolest thing about renewables is, the money stays in the community and creates good paying jobs.”
“non-citizens have served in the military for many years....the Viet Nam war was the end of the draft, the Army doesnt even want it”

“I'm a Vietnam veteran I'm well aware of how long non citizens have been serving and I don't like it.
The Army will take what the President and congress give them. Let them get their citizenship and then enlist. Like I said this procedure makes them no better than mercenaries.”

“That's the whole idea. The entire idea of reparations is symbolic. To give more that an apology and a symbolic reparation would rip this nation to shreds. For openers, the vast majority of people in this nation did not arrive here until after slavery was repealed. If the blacks are due reparations what about the Irish? They suffered at the hands of the wasps for almost 100 years before they started to become part of the ascendancy.”
“I have listened and watched Glenn for years. I remember his 'pitchfork rebellion campaign' on CNN,I was listening last nite (he is delayed here until 7PM) when he started his 'family rape' drama, but just his tone of voice made me turn the radio off. I don't need anybody to tell me Glenn has serious mental problems, I know that for myself. Glenn has made millions telling sophisticated lies, both political and personal. I have heard him say his role model is Orson Welles, because Mr. Welles perpetrated a hoax on live radio. Not Edward R. Murrow, not Walter Cronkite..... Orson Welles.”
“I have serious doubts about Glenn's ability to tell the truth.”

“That's the idea. Discredit everyone! Discredit every group! Discredit every family that plans on saving individualism. That means freedom. Glen might be doing everything wrong, but he is trying to help the average person. The people that convinced you he has lied don't want people helping people.”
“There is a new multi-million dollar VA clinic just opening in my city”
juliet marilynne on May 29, 2014 at 13:03:15
“that's fine but that means it was contracted and funded and approved before the GOP turned down the much larger bill. the approval for that one clinic could also have come as an earmark to another bill or any number of ways.
glad for our vets it's being built, but thanks to the GOP it's a rarity.”
