“I think it would be in the best interest of men who have wives and girlfriends who are into this book series to take note.

This book series is popular with not just teens, but for many women because it turns women on! It may be silly , but for some reason, this book series has told a badly written tale that does something to the psyche of millions of females. It somehow hits the heartstrings of females young and old.

if i were a man, I would take note and use this information to my advantage!”

Bluejay00234 replied on Nov 20, 2009 at 15:48:15

“A man shouldn't take note, he should find a new girlfriend or wife. Real women would never be turned on by poorly written drivel who's target audience are teens/ tweens. This poor excuse for a "novel" speaks to the lonely and desperate.”

SuperBunny replied on Nov 20, 2009 at 15:40:00

“Women and girls only like this book series because it depicts the kind of fantasy relationship that simply doesn't exist between the two sexes.”

“I completely agree. My wife loves this stuff; it grates on my nerves, but I learned to make it work for me. Just last week I made her breakfast in bed and put it in a New Moon lunchbox. I got points for being romantic, and in a way, I got to express how incredibly juvenile I think the whole thing is. And I was thanked profusely. Thanks, Edward!”

“We currently pay1/3 of the cost of our health insurance, the employer pays 2/3. the total monthly cost is $1250.00 a month for 3 healthy people. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. We have to go to their providers. 1000.00 deductible per person. it is a very crappy policy.

this figures out to 15000.00 each year for health insurance.

Is this plan going to cost us more than this?

“My apologies on saying "nationalized" test. Each state is required to have a test that every student must pass to graduate. Google "high school graduation test"

This test is used as the standard to show if a school is doing well of failing. Schools score better when students who have trouble with the tests drop out. There is incentive to let less intelligent kids quit because they lower test scores for the school and this can effect funding.”

“No Child Left Behind requires student to pass a nationwide exam in order to graduate. You can pass all of your classes, never fail any class, but if you flunk the national test, you cannot get diploma. I believe you can take the test three times.

If a student knows they cannot score well on this one exam, they drop out because they know they have no chance of getting a diploma.

Schools want these kids to drop out because their low test scores make the school look bad in national standards.”

“There is no national test. NCLB assesses schools, not children.
If a school doesn't meet NCLB standards for 3 years, it is placed in a "school improvement program", which could eventually lead to a takeover and restructuring by its state, not by the feds.
Most states seem to have a high school exit exam of some sort, which typically seem to be a tthe 8th grade level, but it is not a nationwide NCLB test.

I agree though, NCLB is a horrible program.”

sobachka replied on Oct 26, 2009 at 18:36:47

“That is just plain incorrect.

There is no nationwide exam. NCLB judges schools, not children.
If a school doesn't meet NCLB standards 3 times, it is placed in a school improvement process, eventually qualifying for STATE takeover and forced restructuring. Not Federal.

But, yes, NCLB is a ridiculous program, which was, unfortunately for those who want to blame it entirely on repugs, co-sponsored by Edward Kennedy. A blot on his record.”

Jobs are gone, pensions and savings are gone, credit is ruined, and health insurance and social security are probably not going to be there .

The American Dream has been stolen from my family. We played by the rules and I do not want one more cent of my money spent for Wall Street, banks, industries, insurance companies or anyone else who is only interested in how much more money they can suck out out of our veins.

This recession is going to last much longer than we ever dreamed. The banks got bail outs with OUR money, and we are punished at every turn by these self righteous institutions who could care less about the American people.”

The irony of the 7 year reporting rule, is there is little immediate incentive for the debtor to fix their situation, once the bad information has been reported. At this point, the debtor is almost better off claiming bankruptcy, than attempting to fix it on their own.

It's a sick cycle.”

WalMart came to out town over 15 years ago, became a Super Store about 5 years ago. It destroyed the downtown and put everything selling retail out of business. It is the only store withing a 25 mile radius to shop , except for drug stores and a grocery store.

We have no choice except WalMart, especially since the gas prices went up.”
