“You have no idea what you are talking about, and the accusations you make about Barack Obama apply doubly and specifically to focus of your amorous attention, Bible Spice, who will say anything and do nothing better than anyone.

She didn't even write her book!

For you to say he's "cost us the war in Afghanistan" is so blatantly absurd as to cause raucous and derisive laughter, given that this is PRECISELY what George W. Bush did in 2002 - 03 and why the situation is such a hdeous mess today.

What is wrong with you?”

“I cannot believe I am about to say that in contrast to this loudmouth pantload J.D. Hayworth, I would prefer McCain. Overall, though, I get down on my knees and praise the Lord that I do not live in Arizona.

Love that reference in the article, by the way, to that "GOP sect," which pretty much sums up what they are all about in that misbegotten state.”

pflickner replied on Nov 23, 2009 at 12:00:49

“I do live in Arizona. Most of us would prefer McCain to Hayworth any day. Of course, I'm not sure J.D. is finished asking God whether or not he should run. He was so devastated by losing the last time to a DEMOCRAT that he felt that God wanted him to just spread his poison over the local airwaves and be a Rush-wannabe. The good news is that Dems might have a better chance if J.D. ends up the winner. Then he may ask God if he should get into politics and run again, and I suppose that this time he'll run for President, because of course God really wants him running the country -- he just chose the wrong things before.”

“You were deciphering? That is my job!

From what little I know about this situation, it was the military itself which offered the first version of the story, claiming that Ms. Munley had brought down the mass killer. Only later, after a period of time had elapsed and many doubts had been expressed about details of the original version of events were all over the media, did what is evidently the most accurate version begin to emerge, without any apparent contradiction, again from what I have read so far.

It is too bad that there is this rush to be first with a story than ensuring that the story is accurate.”

“The political dimension of the act is essential for it to be defined as terrorism. Been that way for a long time, Jethro.

And there has to be an act committed that is tied to the intent to commit terrorism, so your glib "guilt by association" meme won't hold water like it did when the Bush administration rounded up people because they had some ties, loose to non-existent, with terrorist groups.

So say we should do "whatever it takes to erase the threat." What do you have in mind?”
