“In California it is illegal to live in your car. Many have no choice, whatsoever, on an increasing daily basis. These people are given tickets they can't pay and sent further into despair and out of sync with the system in a never ending spiral. It should be legal to be in the car you own if people can get away with living in the sewer systems.”

Threedog replied on Jan 05, 2010 at 16:09:12

“So true. It's nearly impossible to get back on your feet in California. I've talked to a few homeless folks who would love to get off the streets... If it wasn't for a few NP's helping these folks out, they would have no chance.”

KataVideo replied on Jan 05, 2010 at 15:30:59

“Tickets for living in a car?
That would ensure that even 'if' people are able to 'pull themselves up by their own bootstraps', they won't be able to theselves too far, because employers are increasingly doing deeper background checks. "Ticketed for living in his car" would be a red flag that prevents someone from getting a job.”

“I've never read or even seen a copy of "Chariots of the Gods". I am entitled to whatever opinions I want to hold about this magnificent universe. There are many sites that can't be explained away, that are far beyond any technology of the day. I too am skeptical. But the possibilities far out number our limited knowledge. The fact is, you don't know either.”

“According to math, they would have had to carve, move, and place one huge stone every 9 seconds for the 22 years within which they were supposedly built. Impossible, even for slave labor.”

RepugsOut08 replied on Jan 05, 2010 at 04:35:40

“The Pyramids weren't built by slaves. The quarters of the craftsmen and spiritual devotees who built these monuments out of devotion to their god or gods, have been unearthed near the building site.
These people were human, and no alien had any hand in it. Read an archeology book for a change, and toss "Chariots of the Gods" into the dustbin where it belongs.”

“I like the guy on Colbert who, when asked about people relocating to other planets or the moon, said the entire idea is a total fantasy. He said no one is rushing to live at the most inhospitable places on Earth and they are far more life supporting than anywhere else. We are totally foolish to think we can screw this planet up and just move on. It is impossible or possible for only a relatively tiny, tiny number of people who would basically be living in the equivalent of a tin can. The planet will end before it is achieved in any scale that support life in a life worth living.

I believe that the Great Pyramid and other unexplainable monuments and things that can only be seen from the air despite having been around for thousands of years are probably nagivational devices for beings to find their way back here. I agree that there is much more to life than we understand.”

“Of course not. But I didn't trust Dick Cheney with them either. There is a reason we are not liked by the countries in the Middle East, which we "befriended" and tried to Westernize in the 50s, screwing with their cultures for our own profit and nothing else. Perhaps Iran is paranoid of us and a little nervous at our aggression and would like the ability to develop the same destructive deterrents that we have. I can't help but believe the religious zealots of the world who want our destruction would not have proliferated as they have without our "help."”

The republican't party is acting in fact, like a real menace to America. If America fail, Obama is accountable, they win.
