“Whether the line call was incorrect or not, that is part of the game and I don't care what color her skin is. She should not have behaved that way. Some sort of apology was in order for her conduct. McEnroe saying, "You cannot be serious" is a far cry from what Serena was saying and gesturing toward that line judge. I am sure the tournament staff would much rather have had the match end in a regular manner but those are the rules and she broke them.”

My tennis magazines have the Williams sisters on them all the time and I just saw a big spread on Serena and I think also a cover shot in People Mag with an article about her new book that is coming out. “I play tennis and am an avid fan. I can understand tempers in the heat of the moment. What I could not understand was the press conference after when there was no apology or any embarrassment on Serena's part. It was as if this was a responsible way to act. That is what was incomprehensible to me and she had the gaul to say that she probably did foot fault!! Unreal!”
