Twitter Heatmap Shows Who Tweets 'Good Morning' Or 'F*ck You' As Soon As They Wake Up (PICTURES)

“Wait wait wait. So more people in Boston tweet "F* You" than in NY? Even without adjusting for population? Mind blown.”

RedRat on Aug 20, 2012 at 14:14:45

“Very good point. It was not clear in the "heat map" what they meant by "Relative" and "Absolute". I agree, the map ought to be adjusted for population. You can see that certain states with high populations appear red while those with very small populations, e.g., Nevada, Idaho, etc, hardly show at all, while populous states, e.g., CA, NY, IL, etc are hot spots.”

“Excellent observation... thought that was over NY, your right though.”
Mobile Strategy A Big Weakness For Small Businesses: Survey Says

Mobile Strategy A Big Weakness For Small Businesses: Survey Says

Commented Jul 24, 2012 at 21:53:20 in Small Business

“One thing we should be cognizant of is that not all investment in mobile development makes sense, particularly for Small Business owners. I've been doing mobile web advertising since 2006, and the sheer immensity of nonsense that is pitched to SMBs can be overwhelming. One thing that DOES work is mobile search. It is the one channel which drives new business, cost-effectively. At mTrax (http://mtrax.com), we're setting up Small Businesses in mobile search on Google, Yahoo, and Bing, exclusively in click-to-call. That way, they are getting calls (which is all they really want) from local prospects searching for their services.”

Marissa Mayer Named New Yahoo CEO (UPDATES)

Commented Jul 16, 2012 at 19:02:46 in Technology

“This is fantastic news. It was important for Yahoo to get a real product person (not a deal-maker, not a consultant-type). Not only that, but also the specific expertise she brings: local and location services. Suddenly, it's not too crazy to imagine that Yahoo can actually develop and build asset in these growing areas. Maybe she will retake Yahoo's control over mobile search, which they ceded to Microsoft in a ridiculous strategy a few years ago. At mTrax (http://mtrax.com), we do business with all the major search engines, and a revitalized Yahoo mobile search and location services would be a welcome development.”
